Moderna booster

Had my booster yesterday, now shivering under a heated blanket. Is this just bad luck or was anyone else the same?

I had two doses of Pfizer and tested positive 2 months ago, if that makes any difference.

I had 2 AZ and with my first one at 4pm it was sore arm and woke up cold and sweaty at 3am and arm was sore for a whole week. I was done by 6pm next day.
Yesterday I had Moderna booster at 9:30 and by 9 last night i proper heated up and was soaked through the night with cold sweats. Couldn’t get out of bed today until 1pm and been downstairs on sofa most of the day still completely out of it. Much worse than 1st AZ jab.

Just had my moderna booster - first two were pfizer.

I think we search for these threads like lemmings and end up feeling worse Grin
What i really dont like is the leaflet and side effects, mine says it is very common to vomit. FFS! My past leaflets said nausea but this one says vomiting. I handle puking badly so not chuffed, and can imagine many are put off after reading these threads. An emetophobe especially.

Only been a few hours but I feel weird, unpleasant. Just hope i dont get bloody bells palsy Shock

My DH had the Moderna booster yesterday after two AZ. He had a very sore arm but feels fine. I think he's been very fortunate.

I have 2 doses az , cold shivering from first dose for a couple of hours ,
2nd dose fine
Covid in October. Reasonably mild
Had the Moderna booster on Friday arm is finally starting to feel better ,spent saturday on the sofa and ever time I tried to get up felt sick . Very sweaty at night ( but that happens sometimes), so dehydrated and still feel slightly hungover

I had two AstraZeneca and then a Moderna. Nothing of note other than a sore arm after #1 and #3 and possibly feeling a little off colour after #1, but no more so that a not-on-top-of-the-world day.

I had Moderna on Sat. Went to bed early last night as felt shivery and achy, woke up feeling fine. Arm hurts if I press it, but I just don’t press it!

I had moderna booster last week after having had AZ previously
The nice nurse was at pains to warn me about side effects and to look out for them
Had a slightly sore arm if I raised it for the next 24 hours but otherwise dodged it

I had Moderna after 2 x AZ. I had almost no side effects with AZ. Only side effect from Moderna was a dead arm. When people said sore arm, i didn't expect it to be like that. I could barely brush my hair or turn the light on! I took painkillers in the middle of the night the first night. But thankfully no other symptoms.

Moderna yesterday at 4pm after two AZ. Seem to be ok, slight headache and sore arm but able to go out for lunch and just been to exercise class.

Had moderna booster after two pfizer, no side effects all (prob best vaccine experience I've had) apart from a sore arm.

Always feel like a bit of dick posting positive stories on side effects threads, but there was a moderna one the othe day which filled me with fear just before my appointment as I had a long day ahead.. So thought I'd add this in Grin

I have had 3 lots of Moderna.

Vaccine 1 - sore arm & shivery that evening - slept for 12 hours and woke up fine

Vaccine 2 - sore arm and brain fog / feeling spaced out next day

Booster - sore arm only

I'm posting my positive, zero-side-effects experiences to counter the deluge of "I feel like DEATH I am going to DIE" stories. There are obviously lots of people concerned about side effects, or at least the timing of them, and I don't think they need to worry that much.

Across all the people I know, I'm aware of ONE person who's had a more adverse reaction to any vaccination/booster than a day laid low in bed. Maybe everyone I know is lucky but I think mild-to-no side effects are actually more common.

I had Moderna on Friday after 2 x AZ and Covid in October, had a sore arm Saturday, feel fine now.
Dh has had 3 x Moderna and been fine with them all.

I had my Moderna booster on Sunday evening (after 2 AZ vaccines). I was really rough for 4 days after my first AZ jab, but no symptoms at all apart from slightly sore arm after second AZ jab. After my booster, I was OK until the following lunchtime and then I started to feel ill really quickly. I had a terrible headache and overwhelming nausea. My hands and feet were freezing but the rest of me was burning up. I was violently shaking and the glands in my neck swelled up, so breathing was quite restricted, which was pretty scary. However, I have woken up today (36 hours after jab) and am feeling so much better. No more fever/chills, no nausea and only a very mild headache and vaguely sore arm. I can't quite believe the difference. It was a rough few hours yesterday, but am still very grateful to have received my booster.

Moderna booster on Saturday after two AZ. I felt awful on Sunday, similar to others- freezing, aches all over, headache. I think I had Covid in April 20 but at that point they had stopped testing so I’ll never know. My reaction to the booster made me feel exactly how I felt then. I’m feeling better now but still tired. Also my glands in my neck on the side I had my vaccine feel tender. Still happy to have had it, would just have liked to have had no reaction Smile

I spoke too soon. No side effects for day after Moderna but felt nauseous most of last night and haven't eaten or drunk anything that would cause it.

Moderna after two Pfizer here too. Felt barely anything after the Pfizers. The moderna booster however took me out for a full 24 hours. Achey bones, extreme fatigue, nausea and headache. Felt like I was coming down with the 'flu

Both my dh and I had moderna booster after 2 pfizers.
I had no side effects at all, not even a sore arm.
DH had headache and heavy sore arm.
