Moderna booster

Had my booster yesterday, now shivering under a heated blanket. Is this just bad luck or was anyone else the same?

I had two doses of Pfizer and tested positive 2 months ago, if that makes any difference.

I also had the moderna booster yesterday. Previously had 2 doses of AZ. Not had covid (as far as I’m aware).

My arm is very sore and heavy. Bit shivery. Slight sore/dry throat. Felt quite rough this morning but rallied. Managed to go out for a jog. Feeling a bit meh now, but my period had just started so could well be that!

Dh has been unwell with Moderna as booster last week.

I had Moderna booster and that night was cold in bed until I had the following: pyjamas, bed socks, hot water bottle, bean bag type microwave hot bag and under 13 togs of duvet. I woke up very dehydrated the next day so my top tip would be to take lots of water with you to drink as soon as you wake up. Take care

I felt surprisingly unwell the day after my Moderna booster. Much much worse than after the Pfizer jabs.

Hot and cold, nausea, exhaustion, my skin felt like it was burning, mild stabbing feeling in the chest and really sore itchy arm.

Made me feel a bit uneasy tbh. I feel a bit better a couple of days on so hopefully alright.

My parents both had moderna boosters two weeks ago, having previously had Pfizer jabs. They had no side effects that they noticed

I had the Moderna booster on Saturday having had 2 Pfizers. Side affects were nausea and stomach pain on Sunday/Monday. plus an achy arm.
I had awful side affects from the first Pfizer- 4 days of lying on the sofa sleeping with aches amd pains all over.

Feel very lucky to have had the vaccines though.

2 X AZ, Covid in Oct, Moderna yesterday. I had flu-like symptoms after first vaccination, and similar - although worse - with this booster. Very sensitive skin, body aches, headache, thirst, lethargy. Hoping I’ll feel better to tomorrow.

I had it yesterday and felt rough overnight and first thing this morning. Still not back to normal but paracetamol has kept the edge off it today. 2 X previous Pfizer vaccines had given me no side effects beyond a sore arm so it took me a bit by surprise.

Moderna booster Tues 3pm (after 2 x pfizer previously which resulted in bad headaches only which went by the next day).

4am ish on Wed I woke up with the worst headache and really hot/shivery/temp feeling very fluey. Eventually took paracetemol at 6am and managed to get back to sleep ok. Felt really rough all that day and today still feeling rough and a bit headcoldy but not as bad.

Also weirdly had a hint of a cough (certainly not persistent, maybe a cough once and then nothing for ages) since Tues afternoon... I don't think it's vaccine related, or, realistically, covid related, but perhaps just because I've been lying around for the past 2 days so all the airways are a bit less clear that if I'd been upright!

Dreading moderna and was fine.

I had Moderna for my first two and felt awful not times for exactly 18 hours- it was the strangest feeling when I came out the other side, like I felt the ill feeling ‘leave’ me.
Booked at our local clinic end of December and they’re only offering Moderna so I’m hoping the booster isn’t so bad.

Had it on Tuesday, felt fine most of the day, but yesterday I felt pretty rubbish. Not as bad as after my first AZ, but not great. Fine today.

Dh had Moderna after 2 Pfizer and was fine but a bit sleepy (not much change there)

Dd had Moderna after 2 AZ. She had a slight headache but is feeling fine to drive home from Uni tonight.

I had Moderna after 2 Moderna, it’s too soon to tell yet as it’s only been a few hours.

DH was really rough for 24hrs after his Moderna booster - high temp, jelly legs, day off work. However it resolved really quickly and he was right as rain the following day. He previously had no side effects from 2xAZ.

I had Moderna booster after 2 AZ. I started feeling unwell 24 days after my jab. Felt shivery, sick, headache and very spaced out. Was completely back to normal the following day.

Had my Moderna booster at midday and feel like a badger’s armpit. Been sleeping fitfully all afternoon but not in a restorative way. Have to look after 3yo DD all day tomorrow but currently ready to crawl into a bin and live there forever.

I had a Moderna booster yesterday afternoon. Started feeling very tired about 5 hours after and feel dreadful today - headache, nausea, fatigue. Hoping it passes by tomorrow.

Had Moderna yesterday 2.30, sore arm started in the evening and then woke this morning with nausea and vomiting and slept most of the day. Still very tired now

So sick with first AZ- maybe a fortnight of no energy- couldn’t go for walks, bed at 7pm every night, chest tightness, just awful. Nothing with second AZ. Moderna was terrible but seems to be shorter time span. Shivers and headaches lasted 36 hours, tiredness a bit longer. Not had negative reactions to any other vaccines ever apart from yellow fever (fainted an hour or so afterwards and felt hideous for the next day)
