DD had one at 8.30 this morning- wondering if there's any chance of an 8 hour turnaround so she can see school play this eve....

Posted ours on Monday, still waiting...

StormyTeacups · 17/11/2021 20:49

Oh, I tell a lie, posted yesterday. Am losing track of time 🤦

Icewiththat · 17/11/2021 21:13

Tested at 5pm yesterday and back at 3am. 10 hours! It was negative…

Clevs · 17/11/2021 21:32

9.00am test, results back at 5.20pm.

AnneOfAvonlea · 17/11/2021 21:42

2.30 yesterday and no result yet

Steelesauce · 17/11/2021 21:53

Quickest was about 30 hours and that was last week (negative). Usually theyre 2-3 days for us, I'm tested weekly for work. My longest was 6 days last year and I was an asymptomatic positive. I'd been working 4 out of 6 of those days, I was livid!

MWestie · 18/11/2021 09:19

Finally got my result back late last night, thankfully negative, but was definitely longer than I expected it to take.

@WaterBottle123 I hope you also hear soon if you haven't already.

WaterBottle123 · 18/11/2021 09:21

Thanks @MWestie we got a negative result yesterday lunchtime thankfully!

We’re still waiting for ours, it’s almost been 48 hours. Really need to know!

ellesbellesxxx · 18/11/2021 09:37

I am so jealous of the 8-10 hour results! On 24h here (SW) children dressed for school optimistically

sofakingcool · 18/11/2021 09:39

Finally got mine back after 36 hours. Those of you waiting, make sure to keep an eye on your emails. My email came through 4 hours before my text!

BarryTheKestrel · 18/11/2021 09:39

DS had one at 10 Monday morning and we had results around 7.30pm. Previously mine have been middle of the night, early the next morning though.

SB1971 · 18/11/2021 10:26

We've always had ours very early the day following the test however my DD 16 did one at 8.45 yesterday and we still don't have a result.
I am panicking that she didn't write her email down legibly as my DH took her and had to stay in the car with the dog.

Greytminds · 18/11/2021 18:54

54 hours and counting….still no result and of course this is the one time I think it’s genuinely likely to be Covid rather than a standard cough/fever….Hmm

lazylockdowner · 18/11/2021 18:58

Dd tested Monday afternoon (2pm) after a positive lateral flow the night before our results didn't come back until 10am Wednesday morning

Blaziken · 18/11/2021 20:41

Tested at 4pm yesterday and still waiting. Supposed to be going on holiday in the morning Sad

ellesbellesxxx · 18/11/2021 21:13

Ended up being 27 hours. They always seem to come through at 2 mins past the hour!

samks · 18/11/2021 23:27

Out of 3 we’ve done, 12hrs. 13hrs and 12hrs. These were over a couple of months. All negative so packed off to nursery each time when we’ll enough.

Emails def come through hours before the text

WholeClassKeptIn · 18/11/2021 23:30

Oh feck. Wonder if SW is particular slow at the moment.

We tested 8.30 wed am and I really want results before 8 am tomorrow.

We have been thru this so many times and used to a 24 hour turnaround or even same day. This has thrown me as I need to know for work.

Over 48 hours is really tricky here.

WholeClassKeptIn · 18/11/2021 23:33

How often do the samples leave the site fir testing? Ie does an early morning test get quicker results than an afternoon one or do they all go off together?

outofservice · 18/11/2021 23:35

Had a test at 10am this morning, results back at 9.16pm! Sadly DD is positive and mine isn’t but really surprised to get the results so quickly.

WholeClassKeptIn · 19/11/2021 00:14

outofservice what area are you in? That's kind of what I was expecting.... over 40 hours here now

chocorangeaddict77 · 19/11/2021 00:22

Son had one at a drive through centre yesterday (SE) - results (negative) back in 12 hours.

NewlyGranny · 19/11/2021 00:47

17 hours

AngelsWithSilverWings · 19/11/2021 07:37

Had a test at 2pm yesterday and got the result at 11pm - That's the quickest I've ever had. Positive as I expected.
