DD had one at 8.30 this morning- wondering if there's any chance of an 8 hour turnaround so she can see school play this eve....

@MWestie

Can I jump on to ask what the longest is that anyone has waited for their pcr result back?

Coming up to 48 hours here which I know is within guidelines but am getting anxious it's been lost or there's a problem 😬

@WaterBottle123 hope your daughter's results come back soon.

3 weeks - mine!

I ended up just isolating the 10 days, as I gave up waiting.

The text eventually came through saying inconclusive Hmm. We think it must have got lost and by the time it was found, it was void?!

sofakingcool · 17/11/2021 11:56

I'm currently waiting for results - 23 hours so far.

DS tested positive last month - 22 hours for him

Other DS positive last year - 36 hours

Groovee · 17/11/2021 12:00

I had one on Sunday at 9.30am. Result came through at 11pm.

My jobshare had one at 10am yesterday and it was back at 10.45am today.

DGFB · 17/11/2021 12:01

15 hours

MWestie · 17/11/2021 12:07

@sofakingcool 3 weeks!! Did you have symptoms so you knew likely positive?

I have no symptoms at all. Did lateral flow originally which we wondered if could see slight line on so did pcr. Obviously know I could be asymptomatic which is why am isolating but the not knowing is getting to me 😬

Isitmeorthemm · 17/11/2021 12:08

Test at 10.30 result at 8.40pm same day

ShakespearesSisters · 17/11/2021 12:11

I'm crossing mine for under 23 hours so DD can go to school tomorrow after a 9am test today. She was classed as a close contact and our LEA ask we do not attend while awaiting results.

Briefly yes, but more that it was about a week after DS1 had tested positive. I probably wouldn't have thought twice about it if it wasn't for that

Iggly · 17/11/2021 12:48

@MWestie

Thanks *@Iggly*. Hoping delay doesn't mean more likely to be positive...
When it happened to us it was negative.
SpeakingFranglais · 17/11/2021 12:49

21 hours and it was positive

irregularegular · 17/11/2021 13:17

About 3 hours. But that was University not NHS so probably doesn't help! NHS has been next day.

Thisislifefornow · 17/11/2021 13:19

Quickest was 14 hrs .. longest 4 days but that was postal

30tanned · 17/11/2021 14:23

Currently at 24 hours and still waiting x

ellesbellesxxx · 17/11/2021 17:00

Quickest was 13 hours this summer. Waited 25 hours 2 weeks ago (all neg) and currently waiting for mine today 9am

Tiredoftiers · 17/11/2021 17:10

Quickest was 8 hours. Slowest has been about 20 hours. Ones in last 6 months have all been less than 14 hours. I think it depends where/ when you go. We use a big drive through centre close to a lighthouse lab first slot available in the morning.

rosie561 · 17/11/2021 17:31

I'm on 26 hours and still waiting!

TheGoogleMum · 17/11/2021 17:35

I had one back in 6 hours was the record, but that was through the hospital I work at so might have been a bit quicker compared to government test centres?

Comefromaway · 17/11/2021 17:36

Our quickest was 5pm Sunday evening. Result came back 11.15am Monday morning so just over 18 hours

MrsJackWhicher · 17/11/2021 17:38

Had she got symptoms? Otherwise do a LFT and go with those results

girafferafferaffe · 17/11/2021 17:44

Had one at 5:30. Got results at 7am next day.

Greytminds · 17/11/2021 18:31

@user1471523870

I always had them back in the early hours of the following day, no matter at what time I was having the test done (that happened about 8-10 times now between all of us in my household). However, I took a test two days ago and...nothing yet! I am a bit shocked but I guess they are now overwhelmed? Strange as I took one the day before, that resulted inconclusive, but I got the results back early morning the following day as usual.
This is pretty much what happened to us this week too. Had the second test yesterday at 12.30 but no result yet, which is unusual as they have been back in under 24 hours every other time. Found out someone we were with on Sat has tested positive so now thinking ours might too.
Calee03 · 17/11/2021 18:59

Recently had

11 hours. Tested at 9am and results at 8pm

14 hours - tested at 10am and results at midnight.

All negative

Chrispackhamspoodle · 17/11/2021 19:02

6pm test back at 7am the next day 2 weeks ago.Daughter was gutted as she thought she would get 2 days off school.

Twitterwhooooo · 17/11/2021 19:09

My longest wait was 2.5 days and shortest less than 12 hours.

All negative.

BooseysMom · 17/11/2021 20:32

Ours came thru at 8pm today and we got tested 10.30am yesterday. 34 hours I think, but my maths is crap! Longer than last time when it was 22 hours.
