Loss of smell and taste getting me down

Tested positive 14 days ago. Lost my smell and taste completley 6 days ago. It’s really getting me down, I feel so fed up. And looking online is making it worse as there all stories of this lasting months. Any tips on returning these sooner? Or anyone have this and it didn’t lass long. Thank you in advance

Such a bummer to not be able to taste things over Christmas- I did have almost all of my smell and taste back after a few weeks.

Do none of you lose your sense of taste and smell when you have a cold? I always do for several days, but it does come back. May be linked as the common cold is a coronavirus.

Never in the same way that I lost it with Covid. With Covid it was 100% loss and for much longer than with a cold. I could have drunk petrol and thought it was water.

@LynetteScavo agree, I was shocked at how differ it was. I had numerous pcrs gor changes to taste and smell, but the real deal was like nothing I’ve experienced before. Completely gone.
