Will a vaccine centre give 16yo a second jab?

Second jab booked for this weekend. Will they give it when he has no underlying conditions?

When he had the first jab, the walk in centre were very vague on booking the second jab - some of the people working there said yes book it for 8 weeks, others said don’t book it as he’s not eligible. I think another person said nothing had been decided so they didn’t know if he should book a second jab or not.

So we went online and it let us book. This time a local centre

Very pleased to see that the Independent is reporting that second vaccine doses are to be made available for 16 and 17-year-olds. Possibly later this week and within the 12 week gap between doses.

On Thursday it will be 13 weeks since they announced 16-17 yr olds can have 1 vaccine dose. My son will be 12 weeks since jab on Sat so I very much doubt he'll get the 2nd within 12 weeks
