Covid after double jabbed

I've just had a positive lateral flow, I know that being jabbed doesn't prevent you from getting covid but wondered if anybody has any experience of the symptoms and progression.

I feel like I've got a bad cold, sore throat, headache, just generally rubbish but I don't have any of the 3 covid symptoms that would allow me to book a Pcr. I did a lateral flow at work on Tuesday and it was negative (didn't feel anyway ill, we have to go them). Started with sore throat Wednesday and felt really run down yesterday and today, I've done another Lateral Flow this morning and got an immediate positive. Thankfully I've been working from home for the rest of the week because the kids have been ill.

I'm going for a Pcr this aft.

I'm out on Sunday, kids Monday, they're not back until Tuesday so we should be OK.

I have been working the last two days and have been OK so far. Hope you feel better soon Siameasy

@TimTheEnchantress

I had my second jab back in January. I had a positive PCR on August 16th initially followed by mild symptoms and then what felt like a nasty dose of flu. Starting to get a vague sense of taste back now but still completely exhausted, have head and muscle aches and not able to go back to work. Really thought I'd be better by now so feeling quite demoralised. Is anyone else feeling like this?
Oh no that sounds really rubbish. One of my colleagues had Covid a few months ago and it took her a bit of time to recover but she's OK now.

I got a positive LFT on Thursday and a positive PCR after a test on Friday. I did start feeling a bit under the weather on the Tuesday of last week but not Covid symptoms so I did an LFT and when it was negative I thought it wasn't Covid.

Anyway, so I'm maybe day 7-8 from symptoms starting and I feel OK. I had a terrible headache but that's gone now and am mainly just tired with a dry cough. My isolation ends on Saturday, test and protect added days on because I didn't get 'Covid symptoms' straight away. I think I'll be fine by then. I've take this week off work because although I WFH I have three young children and one of them has Covid too so the nursery won't take the others either. If it was just me I would have carried on working.

I'm double jabbed and had a positive pcr at the weekend following a positive lateral flow test. My symptoms were a fuzzy head (bit like a head cold, but no cough or temperature) and a croaky voice although only a very slightly sore throat. Caught it from DS who is 10 and who presented with a very obvious dry cough. I wfh so have carried on through it, although I don't feel 100% I wouldn't say I have felt unwell.

This is my worst nightmare. I'm terrified of ending up really ill.

But important you understand the chances of that actually happening to you are vanishingly low.
