Restriction wise. I'm feeling very gloomy / anxious about it! My sister is getting married and I desperately hope it can go ahead.

Feeling unsafe in pubs or busy places for the next twenty years would be worse than just dying of the virus tbh.

To feel like you can't go places for next 20 years is crazy talk, I am assuming these people never leave house and cannot assess risk.
@Spudlet my eldest asked if she could go sledding in winter. Unfortunately we live in a place with absolutely no hills whatsoever
Ditto, our ‘sledging’ involves DH towing him along as fast as he can run 😂 It’s very good resistance training, I tell him…

"[Whitty] added that it would likely take five years before there are vaccines that could “hold the line” to a very large degree against a range of coronavirus variants.

And until then, he said that new vaccination programs and booster shots would be needed."

I think things will hopefully get a lot more stable - but not just yet.

I leave the house and do a load of stuff - though have at times been shielding - but take care where I can.

Out in the nearest big city last week last week, my teenage son said "let's go home mum".

"The night is young" I said, happily. "Yes," he said, "and let's go home & spend it there..."
