How many times did Track and Trace call you whilst isolating?

Not long tested positive, just wondered how likely and frequently I am to be phoned. Haven't been spoken to at all when isolating as a close contact previously but wonder if it’s different when you actually test positive.
Have done the initial test and trace info filling out thing via email but that’s it so far.

So my son who felt unwell/ couldn’t be bothered said he was living alone 🙄Am now struggling getting SSP 🤔!!

Bobholll · 23/08/2021 06:31

SO many times. Twice a day, everyday. I was baffled! I think if might have been because my number was down for both my kids as well but they never said they were calling about them. It was always about me!

This was Dec 2020.

Piggywaspushed · 23/08/2021 06:45

I have had two bouts of SI on the trot (don't ask!). They called me every day the first time. They never called DS1 or DS2, 20 and 17.

Piggywaspushed · 23/08/2021 06:46

And, yep, called in hospital twice!

Piggywaspushed · 23/08/2021 06:48

@dryasaboner

I lost count in the end. Then the younger kids tested positive days after us and they were telling us crap like we needed to isolate for ten days although we had finished our own isolation. One told me off for being in the car going to the shops 'you shouldn't be going anywhere' no mate my isolation ended yesterday ten days after my positive test 🙄🙄🙄🙄grrrr useless system
They don't join up cases in households at all! It is so annoying...you have to correct them quite often so anyone else, consult all the info online before you speak to them!

I'm on Day 9 of isolation and they've called 3 times.

Piggywaspushed · 23/08/2021 10:05

Just been called this morning... Second day of SI (well about 13th in total...). Just checked my phone. last time they called me seven times, and the council once. I can recite the script.

Tinkerbellfluffyboots79 · 23/08/2021 10:16

Not once. Filled something in online.
Kids all negative. Eldest back to work.

Piggywaspushed · 23/08/2021 10:19

There doesn't seem to be any logic to this!!

I am literally the most compliant person ever and yet they seem to have me pegged as someone who needs calling. I wonder if it has something to do with the area?

Siameasy · 23/08/2021 10:39

About 100

My father in law tested positive a week ago and named all of us on his recent contact form. No prob. Except test and trace called me and asked to speak to my youngest daughter by name - I explained that he couldn't because she is a baby. He seemed very confused by this - and asked a couple of times if he could speak to her directly. At this point she was crying and I said 'I've told you! She's a baby - that's her crying now!!!'. He would not deviate from his script and the call took 20 minutes - it seemed ridiculous. After painfully answering the questions, which including me having to spell EVERYTHING out to him - he said ''daughter' does not need to self isolate because she has either a) had both vaccinations .... b) is under the age of 16 years (or whatever it is) ...... blah blah blah'. I know he is just doing his job but honestly, it was so annoying.

The next day I got a call about my 5 year old (which I was expecting) and the lady I spoke to then was a lot more sensible and cut out the crap that was irrelevant.

MarciaMarciaMarcia · 23/08/2021 11:25

Self isolating due to international travel, I was visited once, but the guy didn't ask about dh or ours dds.
No phone calls.

GlittercheeksOakleaf · 23/08/2021 11:39

When I had covid I had phone calls from TnT every two days, always around 8am and I also had three people from environmental health from the council turn up at the door and insist I get out of bed and go to the door as if they didn't believe me. I struggled to get down the stairs and nearly passed out. I really should have complained about that now I think about it.

ClearButtons · 23/08/2021 11:45

I was called day after positive test, day 3, day 7 and day 10. Each time the same conversation - 'how are you feeling? I Need to remind you to keep self isolating until x date'. Honestly, it was annoying. Not sure the point really, unless it's a guilt trip thing to make people stay in!

tedsletterofthelaw · 23/08/2021 13:31

They called me twice.

The second time I told them to get lost (but less politely). I was absolutely exhausted and finally dropped off to sleep and they called at that moment
