How many of your household tested positive in the end?

Currently only DH so 1/3 but it's early days.

3/5.
Me, dd and Ds2

Dh and Ds2 lft negatives

StrangeAddiction · 13/07/2021 23:13

Ds1 negative not Ds2

Jasharps · 13/07/2021 23:13

We've had a positive covid test. DD1 is 10 and had very mild symptoms and recovered very quickly. There are 2 adults and 4 kids in our household and we are out of isolation tomorrow no symptoms or positive tests for the remaining 5 of us. DH and I are double vaxxed.

DD was a close contact of BIL who tested positve shortly before she got symptoms, SIL also ended up positive and is quite under the weather. BIL is not vaxxed and SIL has only had 1.

AliciaMayEmory · 13/07/2021 23:13

1/4

Interesting! Me and DH have had 1 dose, I'm actually missing my 2nd on Saturday which is annoying.

I'm going to do a lft each morning out of interest, really thought I was immune after working in my workplace throughout.. we shall see!

2/5 here, my son and his gf (young adults) both will now miss their first jabs, and both feeling pretty rough. Me and dh double jabbed, dd first jab, no symptoms for us 3 yet but testing tomorrow so will see

Staywithmemyblood · 13/07/2021 23:54

3/3 got it in our household 😕

DH was first, then me, then DD.

Hope your household fares better OP 🍀

chasingmytail4 · 14/07/2021 00:05

2/6 in our house, my son and my daughter’s partner who lives with us were both positive. DH and I both double vaccinated. My daughter and other son remained negative (we did lateral flows every day) despite my daughter sleeping with her partner for a couple of days of symptoms before he finally tested positive (lateral flows were negative so he suspected hay fever). Hope you all remain well.

Please bear in mind the false negative rate of lfts is as high as 50% so it is entirely possible that more people are positive than you think.

DS tested positive early last week. Neither DH or myself have caught it (doubled jabbed). LFT for both of us negative every day, no symptoms and both had PCR tests on Monday and they have come back negative. So 1/3.

Good luck OP. It's not a given you will all get it.

Exactly the same here. Delta easily ripped through the kids, but “double jabbed” me and DH escaped. Bit like the end scene in Twister where the tornado takes the house and leaves the next door barn completely intact.

DD tested positive and had symptoms, 3 other members of the household did not get it and isolation is now complete. DH & I are double jabbed, although DH just recently. DD1 stayed away from her DSis and being teens they spend lots of time in their own rooms anyway. Lots of ventilation extra hygiene.

StealthPolarBear · 14/07/2021 07:27

I've got it. Dd may have it. Dh and ds are showing no symptoms, ds doing lfts but as a pp points out they have a high false negative rate

Heathrug · 14/07/2021 07:52

4/4

buckleten · 14/07/2021 07:55

My dd tested positive yesterday, so far the rest of us are negative and have no symptoms. Me and dh are double jabbed. I imagine my other dc will get it though at some point..

Zampa · 14/07/2021 08:00

4/4 and DH and I are both double jabbed.

I feel a bit duped but appreciate that the illness could have been worse without the vaccine.

FaintlyMacabre · 14/07/2021 08:10

4/5 so far here. DS2 brought it from school and gave it to DS1 and DD. DH then got it on day 8. He’s double jabbed but with AZ, I’ve had Pfizer and also had Covid last year, haven’t got it so far. If I catch it now our holiday is cancelled so hope the vaccine holds it at bay!

coronabeers · 14/07/2021 08:13

Dh and dc got it and there was only couple of days between cases. We all did pcr and I, only doubled jabbed from us, was negative. I have no symptoms and lfts have been negative.

WellJuhnelle · 14/07/2021 08:18

1/4 here. I had it but my husband and young children didn’t. Husband and I are fully vaccinated but obviously children aren’t. They did LFTs and a PCR each during my isolation period and all came back negative

cptartapp · 14/07/2021 08:30

DS 18 had it. Then DS 16. Then double jabbed DH (AZ). All within a week.
I had Covid antibodies last year and am double jabbed with Pzizer and was fine.

mum2jakie · 14/07/2021 08:33

3 out of 5. DH who was double jabbed still caught it but teenage son with no jabs didn't.

Moana123 · 14/07/2021 08:36

1/4 here my son has it, so far no-one else has got it (daily LFT tests) we’re out of isolation tomorrow… I’m hoping it stays that way

Ultimatecougar · 14/07/2021 08:37

1 out of 4. Eldest DC tested positive.
I'm double jabbed and didn't catch it, had negative tests both LFT and PCR. The 2 younger children exhibited no symptoms and were negative on LFT.

MrsPnut · 14/07/2021 08:40

Anxious wait here, DD2 developed a sore throat on Saturday but no temperature and negative LFT.
She did a PCR test yesterday and we are waiting for the results, she has had a negative LFT every day and still a normal temperature. She has developed a snotty nose and if it weren’t for the Delta variant, I’d have just assumed it was a cold.

Everyone else is double jabbed but I am having chemo and am at real risk next week when my neutrophils drop.

I forgot to say, I did a PCR yesterday, but will keep doing lft if it is negative.
