Pfizer Vaccine......DH fitness gone downhill since.....

Both DH & I had our 1st dose around 5 weeks ago. He's usually very fit, 3, 4 bike rides a week, very active. He's only managed one ride since having the vaccine. I'm not anywhere near as fit. I got a bit of an achey arm after that's it. DH noticed after first few days of having vaccine, he felt unusually tired, getting breathless, which wasn't like him. He also felt stabbing pains in his chest/heart. He's since been to the doctors about 3 times, 3 different doctors can hear a murmur in his heart. He went to the hospital about 10 days ago where they did a heart trace and took bloods. This didn't pick anything up.

Today he still felt quite bad, like its uncomfortable to breathe and he has had pain in his arm. His arm had a vibration sensation in it last night. He rang the doctors today and she told him to go to A&E as she too can hear the murmur when she listened to his heart.

So he's there now again. The kept him in from 7pm until 3pm the following day last time doing bloods etc, I don't understand why they didn't do an echocardiogram then?! He's due to have an chest x-ray this week but hopefully they'll do it today.

Of course its easy to link this to the vaccine as prior to this he was absolutely fine and had not seen a doctor in 7 years. He would normally cycle up to 50 miles or more, maybe 3 times a week. He can barely manage to kick a ball about in the garden without sitting down catching his breath. Totally different in the space of 5 weeks.

Any body else had these symptoms after the vaccine?

Morning all. We've removed a few posts from a previously banned poster from this thread. Hopefully things will get back on track now.

@harryandmarv

He seems to be on the mend thank you. He actually went for a little bike ride yesterday so it does look like he’s on the right track now at least.

I am having doubts about my 2nd Jab, DH obviously not going for his 2nd, but he said it’s up to me if I go for mine not, he’s worried yes, he’d prefer me not to go for it incase I get poorly like him, but I say if I was ok with my first, I really should be ok with my 2nd?

I am rather worried about your other half going out for a bike ride less than 2 wks after being seen in hospital and diagnosed with heart inflammation !!!! Has he cleared this with his dr??? Having chronic fatigue syndrome likely caused by continually pushing through illness I highly recommend he seeks advice about regaining his fitness as seriously think he shouldn't be exercising formally at the moment.

P.S. obviously I dont know his diagnosis/prognosis but here is a link to the myocarditis foundation blog talking about recovery and exercise
