How long for PCR results in the south?

Anyone in the southeast who's done a test over the last few days, how quickly did you get your results? Last few we've done have come back in 12-18 hours so this feels like it's taking ages in comparison!

30 hours fri-sat.

(Although not me- a friend!)

DH tested at 14.00 last Sunday and had results in about 17 hours

29 hours and counting. I’m obsessively watching my phone and can’t concentrate on anything else!

Someone who went to the same test centre as me but 4 hours earlier got their results in 27 hours!

Hahaha I'm so glad I'm not the only one obsessively checking my phone! Hopefully they all come through ASAP!

Friend had one 9am thurs and received results Fri eve.

Other friends daughter tested 9am yesterday and had had the result 5pm yesterday

33 hours for us.

Wait was unbearable especially when you are already feeling really poorly!

Hopefully will know before 48 hours as if negative sibling can go to school (testee was a child)

Less than 24 hours, but that was 2 weeks ago. With the number of cases rising so quickly, I can imagine it's longer now. Good luck!

Sevenoaks drive in last Monday result took 32 hours

Son had test 9am Wednesday morning, result came 2am Thursday morning, so about 17hrs

Results back - negative phew!!!

Took 30 hours.

Another obsessively checking my phone, it's like waiting for exam results or waiting to see what schools they've got into. Great news @Shibees

Im in West Sussex, been waiting 32 hours! Slowly going mad!

@choccielover36 I suspect they are busy due to the number of school cases and the advice test if close contact and for all their families to test. Also the weekend. Still checking my phone every two minutes though

@SilverGlitterBaubles I think you are right! It was so busy at the test centre yesterday too. They said it had been like that for 2 weeks. 😩

Test at 2pm Tuesday, results at 9.20am Wednesday!

After 34 hours we finally got a negative result-phew!!

Still waiting here in South East.

It’s now 38 hours and I could really do with knowing now.

Results came. Negative!!!
