How long for PCR results in the south?

Anyone in the southeast who's done a test over the last few days, how quickly did you get your results? Last few we've done have come back in 12-18 hours so this feels like it's taking ages in comparison!

Me Thursday tested 12:30 results 1pm Friday.. DD sent home on Friday to test her hayfever test done at 10am results 6am following morning. East Sussex.. it was the busiest I have seen the test centre in a while.

45 hours.. and still waiting! Having to keep the kids off school now until I know for sure, very frustrating!

Call 119

I just called this morning and was told my test (from Saturday am) was not registered!!! They took all my details again and then said that I might have to wait another 2 days for the news, they couldn’t tell me on the phone.

As it happened as soon as I hung up the text message pinged through but if I hadn’t have called them to link the test with my details I would still be waiting.

You just need the barcode number from your receipt.

After reading the above post I called 119 too as been waiting 45 hours now.
They said my test hadn't been registered either 🤦‍♀️ They registered it there & then & they said if the results were ready they'd be through in 30 minutes. I got the results in less than 5 minutes - thankfully negative 😊

Thanks for the advice. I phoned last night and they said I was registered so I have no idea what the hold up is. I wonder if they would know more of I call again?

Happy for all of the negatives 😁 really thinking mine is going to be positive as I have lost my sense of smell.

Posted off Thurs afternoon. Result 6:30am Saturday.

Me and DD tested at 9am Sun, results back 9am this morning (Mon). So exactly 24 hours. We are E Kent. Negative, thankfully.

Posted off Friday 2pm-not heard back yet.

Tested DS at 4pm yesterday at a walk in place, Berkshire. Not heard yet and feeling increasingly anxious.

Is it worth ringing sooner than after 3 days then?
We’ve been waiting for 29 hours so far. 24 hours has been the longest to date.

Ive phoned again today and the hold message says up to 5 days. When I got through they said you can only chase after 72 hours. They won’t do anything before except check your details are registered sadly.

Also still waiting in isolation limbo, the worst part is others are also in limbo while we wait for our results- employers, sports teams, family. And to think the government have reduced lab and test capacity while advocating letting this run its course through the population 🤯

DS has just said “I think my cough is getting more persistent”. It’s still the same cough we had tested yesterday my sweet. At least someone’s happy

South west here, test 10.30 yesterday, result 3pm today

South West here also, I tested at 10.30am yesterday. No sign of a result yet. I was told to chase after 72hrs. I work in a school, so missed work. Ds is on an inset today but should be back in tomorrow but we now wait in limbo.

I sent my PCR test off on Friday morning, had notification they received it Saturday but I haven't had the result yet. Keep checking emails in the hope it'll come through.

25 hours - Staffordshire

Just got our negative result. So that was 31 hours.

Sorry, 35. I’m too tired to count properly.

Tested last Friday at 10.30am, results came early hour of Sunday morning

finally got my result earlier. I waited 52 hours! It was positive too sadly.

Friday AM - 16 hours.

Just had DS' result. 28 hours.
