To those who had bad side effects from first AZ jab, how did you react to the second dose?

I'm sure it must have been asked before, so apologies. I had a terrible reaction to my first vaccine. I couldn't get out of bed for shivering for 2 days, despite taking paracetamol. I just had my second jab this morning, and selfishly worrying if this will affect my dinner plans tonight . Interested in experiences of others.

I felt bloody awful after my first, but other than a very dead, very sore arm, had no noticeable side effects from my 2nd.

No effects from the second at all. Temperature and felt a bit like flu after the first.

I was awful after my first one. Spent a week wishing I'd never had it.

2nd one had no affect whatsoever!

I felt awful after my first for several days , but fine with just a few aches and pains with my second.

I was completely immobile for 6 hours after my first one, but only very slightly under the weather for my second, could happily have gone out for a meal though it might have put a bit of a dampener on my mood.

No 1: Felt lousy, even worse than when I had Covid

No 2: Nothing whatsoever.

Same as others, absolutely wiped out by the first one, shivering, vomiting etc.

Perhaps some slight tiredness from the second but could be unrelated. They advised at the second dose to take paracetemol as soon as I got home

No effect from second one except being unusually tired (possibly unrelated).

I have a friend who ended up in A and E 2 days after her first AZ jab just to the terrible side effects. She was advised by the DR not to have the 2nd jab.

Really ill after first vomiting, shivers, aches , temperature

Second- felt a bit woozy like i had a dtink and felt a bit sick but lasted a few hours

First AZ jab: temp, aches and pains, fluey for a couple of days and a bad headache.

Second AZ jab: not a single thing.

1st cold, shivering, joint pain, headache, lasting 12 hours.
2nd the same as above but no joint pain.
Took paracetamol both times which helped a bit.

I have been extremely lucky and had no side effects, other than a sore arm, from either. Most of the oriole I know who did have side effects from the first jab have been fine after the second too.

I did take some 'precautionary paracetamol' before both, much as I used to give the children before their jabs. Not sure if it made a difference but might have staved off some of the milder effects.

First jab - worst flu I've ever had, bed for three days, vomiting, migraines, the lot

Second jab - had to take a nap, a bit hot for 12 hour but otherwise normal! I was so relieved

First : temperature,felt sick and arm aching.
Second : felt very tired and a bit dizzy for a few hours and no arm ache.

1. Felt awful for 24 hours

1. Slightly sore arm but no other side effects at all! 😊

Felt rough for a few days after the first, sore arm and very fluey. Absolutely no side effects at all after the 2nd.

The first jab hit me like a tonne of bricks and I'm getting my second this afternoon. I have been dreading it but this thread has come at exactly the right time . Fingers crossed for you ( and myself ) x

1st - headache, joint pain & shivers for 3 days.
2nd - not a thing.

Felt awful for days after the first one. Just a slightly sore arm after the second, maybe a little tired.

3 adults in this house had had both doses of AZ. All of us felt a bit off after the first dose, 2 had the nighttime shivers.

Twoof us had no impact at all from the second dose, one had a slightly sore arm for 24hrs.

Glad we all double jabbed!

No side effects first one.

Second one, had a mild fever, nausea and headache for 24 hours. Still feel very tired. The other 4 members of my family had no side effects either shot.

1st - shivers, shakes, nauseous for three days

2nd - slight sore arm, nothing else

I was really poorly after my first, but totally fine after my second, didn't even hurt my arm!
