To those who had bad side effects from first AZ jab, how did you react to the second dose?

I'm sure it must have been asked before, so apologies. I had a terrible reaction to my first vaccine. I couldn't get out of bed for shivering for 2 days, despite taking paracetamol. I just had my second jab this morning, and selfishly worrying if this will affect my dinner plans tonight . Interested in experiences of others.

I was ill after the first had nothing off the second and it's been 4 weeks now since 2nd dose.

I was unwell on an off for a week first jab but thankfully was OK with 2nd jab.

I had my second on Saturday. First knocked me sideways for five days - first two days I was in bed the whole time!

Yesterday I felt very hot and tired but not dreadful. Had pins and needles in my fingers and toes. Bit of a headache on and off. Very sweaty and hot in the night last night, woke up feeling very sick. But now I feel almost normal again. So hoping that's it!

First I was shivery about 6 hours after. Had an early night and felt like I had a mild hang over the following day - background headache, spaced out.

Second one my arm hurt more for a day but otherwise just felt more tired than usual so had a quiet weekend. Was ok for work today.

You're giving me hope for my second one as I had the same after effects as you on the first.

First: 12 hours of aches, fevers, and chills. Quite a sore arm.

Second: nothing
