Why aren’t they wearing them?!

They seem so blasé about it all! Why didn’t they have an online G7? Zoom would been plenty for meetings.

It’s probably the most important meeting that will ever take place in our lifetimes.

The G7 finance ministers met last week in London, why wasn't it all dealt with there?
10s of 1000s of people are flying in from all over the world for this.

I live here and in my part of Cornwall, we thing they are all just a bunch of parasites.

They'll have been double vaccinated, and no doubt the staff will be doing tests- there are photos of them wearing them indoors anyway. Its probably being done in person to lead the way back to 'normal'. More gets discussed and agreed upon in person, flying in will be offset by any agreements made.

Oh gosh, I’m gagging to have a proper party but am a total wuss about the possibility of falling ill and long Covid.

I don't like Matt Hancock, but are they actually required to wear masks inside 10 Downing Street? We don't have to in my office unless we want to.

@Unihorn I was thinking exactly the same thing. I actually enjoy going to my office because it’s a chance to meet people inside without wearing a bloody mask!

I cannot leave aside that even if I had 2 jabs, I couldn't just jump off an airplane from USA & mix freely with lots of people outdoors. But they can whatever they please. How many in their gathering? Sigh.

No, Zoom would not have been 'plenty'. Zoom is OK in an emergency but is pretty crap really. And everyone knows that the real business at these events gets done on the sidelines, not at the official meetings.

As for being 'blase', I think most people are at this stage. Just how long do people need to fret about masks and 'distancing'?

I've seen pics of them sat indoors without masks. If they don’t need to wear a mask, why do I need to wear one in my office? I thought we were all in this together like anyone ever believed that shite

As we all know the vaccination does not stop you getting the virus or passing it on so there's a choice of only 2 things going on here.

They all have some kind of special immunity to the virus or they know something about this virus that we don't know

You wear a mask in the office? We don't, and we have been back in since June 2020.

I did that today for the first time ever! It was absolutely great fun. I was driving through the beautiful green English countryside with the lovely sun shining as far as the eye could see. I could feel the warmth on my face and shoulders. (You know that pleasant feeling). There were about 200 of them, mothers, lambs, so cute, black, white, field after field. I beeped and blasted my horn 1000 times, and revved my engine as loud as I could. Drove for miles, shouting “MINT SAUCE” as loud as I could out of the windows! 😀
