Are we being scared into taking the vaccine ? If so GOOD.

I've had my first AZ 8 weeks ago and am getting my accelerated second dose next Friday. Let's hope the quick and dirty read of the vaccines holding well continues. That said I have a mixed feeling that the final push to get the maximum number of folk jabbed requires a 'scariant' push to get herd immunity over the line and now with a twist that unlocking might be delayed by a fortnight which may exaggerate the risk somewhat. It's what the 'nudge unit' and SAGE would do.

If so then all well and good. The doomster narrative has a key role to play in persuading some waverers to take the plunge so that we can get back to normal as soon as possible. So rather than accentuate the positive it might be best to NOT to eliminate the negative in this instance for a few weeks more !

It makes me furious how the marches are so under reported
Thank you for going out and making your feelings known.

I’m so sorry to hear about people’s suffering after the vax
Dds friend is very ill. It’s been 6 weeks now.

My friend was also very ill after az
She thought someone was stabbing her in the heart.
She decided not to have the second but caved no doubt from all the fear mongering.
Same thing happened and now she is still passing clots from her rectum.

I know many more stories, too many .
Great for the people who have had no side effects, terrible for the people who have and are still not well.[/quote]
Worst thing is their experience will be minimised because they desperately want to push the vaccine

The NHS has reported that although the number of new cases is increasing, the vast majority of those in hospital are either not vaccinated or only partly. The patients are younger than previously. I assume this is because the vaccine take up amongst the elderly has been very high.
The NHS are not currently concerned about the numbers of hospital admissions but if it increases it will again affect the clearing of the huge backlog of non Covid treatments which have built up when wards and staff had to focus on Covid patients.

@Ostara212 thank you for recommendation of Laura Dodsworth book, hadn't heard of it but looks excellent.

So sorry to hear of everyone suffering adverse reactions. I've had a number of people into my NHS mask fitting clinic with a range of hideous side effects from joint pain and severe persistent headaches to Bells Palsy where the suffer couldn't even open their mouth fully.

Please please report all side effects to the MHRA, they must not be minimised as co-incidental or swept under the carpet. To think they want to start jabbing children as well, I'd rather lie down in front of a steamroller than allow my DC to have the jab before post market surveillance in 2023.

Hope it's of use

I have bern a bit more forgiving of people now I've read what the media subjected them to. I think the NHS and ONS provide really good data, much easier to stick to that.

I don't have children but I completely agree.
