Just wondering whether anyone who has both shots actually had a gap of 12 weeks between them. I was notified to book mine after 10 weeks and ended up getting it after about 10 and a half weeks.

@Sometimesfraught82

Any difference in side effects first and second?
I had AZ. I felt a bit feverish and achey for about 36 hours after the first, but nothing after the second.

6 weeks to the day. I am in a surge area, so turned up for a mobile vaccination site. So happy! Normally they would only give it to you after 8 weeks, but it must have been a slow day and they winding down the surge vaccinations. They sent out a Facebook message and now there is a massive queue.

They asked me about my symptoms after the first one, and they said to prepare myself for similar symptoms after the second one. Already feel like I am having flu.

Will be ten weeks when I have it next week got a message today saying I could book earlier no way friends can't get local appointments not giving my slot up

LizzieMacQueen · 30/05/2021 09:19

11 weeks 1 day. That's in Central Scotland and my options to change would have resulted in a bigger gap so I didn't.

12 weeks exactly. AZ

Has any one who got the Pfizer or Moderna managed to rebook the second appointment closer to the first? Recommendation indicates a 28 days gap but appointments tend be be spaced apart by 11-12 weeks to allow more people to have a first dose.
