Just wondering whether anyone who has both shots actually had a gap of 12 weeks between them. I was notified to book mine after 10 weeks and ended up getting it after about 10 and a half weeks.

Mine's being brought forward from 11 to 9 weeks. (AZ, age 40)

monkeypuzzeltree · 28/05/2021 18:16

My local nhs have just sent me a text saying I can come earlier for second dose and that there are spaces this weekend. That would be 3 week gap- for AZ I thought it had to be longer? I'm 44, no relevant health issues. Hmm

Lazierdays · 28/05/2021 18:18

11 weeks.

BasicallyBookish · 28/05/2021 18:21

Just had my second today, 11 weeks and 1 day after my first.

Mummyme87 · 28/05/2021 18:24

8weeks for Pfizer here.
For Astra Zeneca the longer the gap the better, it is more effective when a longer gap is left

Sh05 · 28/05/2021 18:25

I've been told it's a minimum of 8 weeks between jabs.

Etulosba · 28/05/2021 18:30

I'm booked in for next weekend. It will be exactly 12 weeks. AZ.

I wouldn't have gone earlier if asked.

olivo · 28/05/2021 18:33

6 weeks, AZ. Was told minimum 28 days, offered at 4 weeks but couldn't make it.

Thelm · 28/05/2021 22:38

8 weeks and 1 day

Strokethefurrywall · 28/05/2021 23:18

3 weeks, Pfizer

Stillgoings · 28/05/2021 23:22

I've just changed my AZ booking..it was to be exactly 12 weeks but I went on to the NHS manage my booking and cancelled my second appointment and rebooked for tomorrow which will be a day short of 10 weeks. With this new variant I believe that being double jabbed is the best protection we can have. My husband was 12 weeks and my son, who was the only one of us to have pfeizer, was just three weeks between first and second.

Arbadacarba · 28/05/2021 23:23

10 weeks and 5 days.

FakingMemories · 29/05/2021 06:18

I had the Janssen single vaccine. Pleased to get it done in one go.

luckylavender · 29/05/2021 07:13

12 weeks

nordica · 29/05/2021 07:45

Mine is booked exactly 11 weeks after my first, that was the first option available when I booked. Moderna vaccine.

Pushkinia · 29/05/2021 08:17

Mine will be one day short of 12 weeks. There’s no point in trying to rearrange it because I have hospital treatment booked for the week before (11 injections) and I can’t have the vaccine within a week of the treatment.

Winnithegreat · 29/05/2021 08:27

10 weeks exactly for me - 17 March and 27 May. Minor side effects to the first, a slight headache maybe to the second (or maybe that’s me worrying about having the AZ...should not read the news for the next 3 weeks)

Mandalay246 · 29/05/2021 09:29

3 weeks and 2 days, Pfizer - not in the UK though.

Jarstastic · 29/05/2021 11:20

Mine was supposed to be 12 weeks.
I logged in yesterday and cancelled to rebook. I figured as it was Astra Zeneca and there are plenty of places in London where I had my first that there was no risk of not being able to rebook at least my original date.
I’ve now rebooked. (I’d rather go earlier as TTC). The earliest I could find anywhere was 9 weeks and that was the same for locally, another area I frequent and London.

I forgot to say DH had his vaccination on the same day but in a different centre in London and got Moderna. When he cancelled his, he only got the same date as his earliest option.
SpnBaby1967 · 29/05/2021 11:24

Just booked my second. Will be 10 weeks

Holothane · 29/05/2021 12:10

Monkeytennis97 · 29/05/2021 12:20

MooChops89 · 29/05/2021 13:45

Mine was 10 weeks. My nan had her first jab the day before me and she is still waiting for her 2nd one, it's something like 17 weeks now!

QueenPaw · 29/05/2021 15:04

12 weeks exactly for mine! AZ
