@Sirius99

PerkingFaintly Surly it’s up to voters to see through it, why would he change when it’s work so well for him?
That's actually hilarious! The Sydney Powell defence! "Yes I lied – but it's your fault for believing me."

Pro-Trump lawyer says ‘no reasonable person’ would believe her election lies
www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/mar/23/sidney-powell-trump-election-fraud-claims

A key member of the legal team that sought to steal the 2020 election for Donald Trump is defending herself against a billion-dollar defamation lawsuit by arguing that “no reasonable person” could have mistaken her wild claims about election fraud last November as statements of fact.

Cailleach1 · 26/05/2021 13:59

Yes, wonder how many people said followed his leadership in contempt for the lockdown measures.

DuncinToffee · 26/05/2021 14:00

The Barnard Castle trip excuse is still a lot of nonsense.

However he has now confirmed that the 'protective ring' around care homes was also complete nonsense. As well as the complete failure of test and trace and border controls.Journalists ofcourse have been reporting on this for a long time but now it has been confirmed at last.

Just trying to come up with ideas to change a broken system, I don’t know what people expect of politicians nowadays, They are all self serving,
Please don’t say vote Labour, same shit different day

farfrompriti · 26/05/2021 14:01

I think he's telling the truth now.
You can tell his speaking differently to the Rose Garden garbage.
He probably has very little to lose now and little to gain by not telling the truth.
I doubt he is in league with Gove. I suspect he has saved/invested his huge pay-off and won't work in a no. 10 role now. He will probably do private consulting now.
Anyway, unfortunately, I think he is telling the truth. It all adds up with what was happening in the public arena and what BJ and MH have been proven to have done in other areas in the past 14-15 months.

Madcats · 26/05/2021 14:01

I wonder what history will make of Spring 2020?

Both opposition parties were without leaders. The Lib Dem's took about 7 months to choose one from a possible nine MPs. Labour a couple of months. Boris was in intensive care for most of April. Wasn't Raab left in charge?

I think Cummings (and Gove?) were hoping to do a hatchet job in advance of the May elections a few weeks ago. The trouble is, the average voter really doesn't care about what goes on in the Westminster bubble. They just want their lives back.

Looking across to France/Italy/Belgium/Spain the death rates seem similar with very different strategies.

You don’t expect politicians and their advisers to tell the truth do you ?

HollowTalk · 26/05/2021 14:03

@KaptainKaveman

The enemy of my enemy is also my enemy.

Lying lazy corrupt bastards. Don't forget this.

Isn't it "My enemy's enemy is my friend"?
farfrompriti · 26/05/2021 14:03

Likewise, sadly the general public have demonstrated that they don't care what kind of moral vacuum is currently operational in Downing Street. They will voted Tory again at the recent elections. Maybe the corruption and incompetence in government rings true in their own lives and behaviour and they simply don't care.

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 26/05/2021 14:03

I've just switched on and only half heard him - did he just compare Boris Johnson to an out of control shopping trolley??

He did.

Yep, this won't make any difference to anything come election time.
MarshaBradyo · 26/05/2021 14:04

Valance coming out well

Knew he was good ;

Leonardsgirl · 26/05/2021 14:05

This is revenge against Carrie and he is intent on bringing down Johnson and Hancock. Boris is an utter fool.

But hard to believe a word he says after that Barnard Castle fiasco. What a load of cobblers that was. All this 'I'm just an ordinary bloke who's never done great things' is utter hogwash. Uriah Heep he ain't.

AppleDumplin · 26/05/2021 14:05

I've been watching all morning and am sad to think the general public will probably vote this incompetent, self serving lot in again at the next election.

Mind you, I'm not sure whether any other party would have done much better?

You've just said you don't want change, because it's working for you. Regardless of the damage to the country.

So excuse me if see your further suggestions in the same light.

SarahBellam · 26/05/2021 14:06

@Pyewackect

He got fired for being a liar and a cunt, nuff said.
No, he got fired for calling Carrie Whatsherface ‘Princess Nutnuts’. He got hired for being a liar and a cunt.
MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 26/05/2021 14:06

Thank you @the80sweregreat.

Well he's not lying about that bit, at least.

the80sweregreat · 26/05/2021 14:06

The Government are denying the herd immunity allegations.
I wonder if he has any other evidence ?

Sirius99 · 26/05/2021 14:06

Unfortunately it’s not just a Tory thing more a political thing, nowadays it’s like asking which leg do you want cut off

Rhannion · 26/05/2021 14:06

@Bagamoyo1

The hypocrisy is astounding. DC flouted the rules, took the piss out of the population, sat in that garden spouting utter crap to journalists with full government backing - while the rest of us were following rules, missing family/friends, losing livelihoods etc. And now he has the audacity to say that other people messed up! He must have an ego the size of a solar system.
He is a total prize hypocrite amongst a government full of hypocrites. Insincere, lying creep however the more that comes out about the mismanagement of this situation the better. The widespread injection programme is working in spite of the government, not because of them.
Cailleach1 · 26/05/2021 14:06

He is rather less directly answering the questions asked as holding court and allowed to visit al the houses until he is where he wants to be.

The Dominic Cummings show.

Cailleach1 · 26/05/2021 14:07

Ego bigger than a solar system. Infinitely.

Boris Johnson's spokesman doesn't deny the PM

  • Called Covid a scare story
  • Said UK shouldn't lockdown because Covid 'is only killing 80-yr-olds
  • Considered sacking Hancock
  • Wanted to get infected with Covid on TV

Says 'I'm not going to get into every allegation made today'
