My arm still hurts a month on

Hi, I had my vaccine in my left arm about a month ago. It still really aches and I can’t sleep on my left as it’s too uncomfortable. It’s not so bad that I have to take pain killers but I would have thought after a month I wouldn’t be experiencing any discomfort from where I was injected.
Has anyone else experienced this?

@penni00 - yes did consider my neck pains could be totally unrelated to the vaccine so will speak to the dr for advice. It’s not as bad today so will monitor over the week. Hope things check out for you too.

So just a quick update. My neck pain has more or less gone, just a little residual tension left in my temples. Spoke to the dr. who described the symptoms of blood clots, which I didn’t have, and said to go ahead with 2nd vaccine. Any problems or concerns to contact her again or 111 over weekend. So just back from my 2nd AZ jab😊 Fingers crossed for the week ahead. Good luck to everyone else and I suggest contacting your GP if you have any concerns or issues.

Sorry to bump up an old thread, but just wondering how many of you still had achy / sore arms when you had your second jab.

I've been invited to move my appointment forward, but I'm reluctant to do that just yet, partly because due to asthma I'm thinking I may be better off longer term with the higher protection from a 12 week gap, but also because my arm isn't yet right, and I'm not sure about sticking another needle in it just yet.

What have you all done?

I had mine last week, 11 week gap, same arm, and since then weirdly my arm actually hurts less!

MuddlingMackem · 05/06/2021 17:29

Very weird. But thanks. :)

Katya213 · 05/06/2021 17:37

I had mine wednesday and i cant even lift my arm up, my knee has swollen up too...weird!!

MuddlingMackem · 05/06/2021 20:50

@Katya213, is that your first or second jab?

borntobequiet · 05/06/2021 20:52

The site of my pneumonia jab aches occasionally if I’m under the weather after I think three years now. Oddly enough it ached after my first Covid jab too, much worse than the Covid jab site.

borntobequiet · 05/06/2021 20:54

Oops didn’t realise I posted the same thing a few weeks ago!
