How many tests have you taken?

I've yet to take one and from what I've seen I'm definitely in the minority! DH hasn't either. DD took one, last year, and it was negative (she had a bit of a sniffle/cough and the symptoms had gone by the time the test arrived in the post).

Two for symptoms..no lateral flows yet

MRex · 22/04/2021 10:52

Testing is not just for you to isolate, it is also to inform those you have already been in contact with in the preceding 2 days to isolate, as well as to genome test to track variants. So you're still helping covid to spread if you don't test when needed. HTH.

Couldn’t give a shit

Jeez, the stupidity and selfishness of some people is truly beyond measure, isn't it?

PCR - 1, when I developed a bad cough before Christmas.

LFT - twice a week since 7th March (teacher).

mamaduckbone · 24/04/2021 18:36

2 PCR tests - one when ds2 came down with a raging temperature the day after I returned to school as a teacher, so I asked at the test centre if I could take one too, the second as a precaution before we saw dh's parents at Christmas.

LFT's - 2 a week since January.

Useruseruserusee · 24/04/2021 18:37

LFTs - 2 a week since Jan.

We had weekly PCR testing at my workplace (a school) in the autumn term, arranged by the local authority, so about 14 then.

KnottyKnitting · 24/04/2021 18:48

I take LFTs weekly because of my job ( I work part time) Nothing else.

Kittyhelp · 24/04/2021 22:11

Me: PCR test 0 LFT probably 20 or so (work related, work in a school)
DS: PCR 0 LFT 0
DH: PCR 2, first was his positive, 2nd was in hospital

PurplePinkParade · 24/04/2021 22:12

Me - 1, about 6 months ago (negative)
DP - 3x per week - works in healthcare, never had a positive!

Passthecake30 · 24/04/2021 22:17

3, one pcr test when I had a sore throat, one for random sampling, and a lft the other week to encourage ds in secondary to do the same (the novelty has worn off for him!)

girlmama32 · 24/04/2021 22:21

MintyCedric · 24/04/2021 22:24

the other as part of the Imperial College study - negative

SometimesRavenSometimesParrot · 24/04/2021 22:34

2 PCR and loads of LFT, I’m doing 2 or 3 a week and we’ve had access to them since September.

waitingpatientlyforspring · 24/04/2021 22:51

LF, twice a week since January

wingsnthat · 24/04/2021 22:54

4 proper ones, countless lateral flow

wonderstuff · 24/04/2021 22:59

We are on the ONS survey, I've lost count, 15-20? I also work in school and have been in hospital so those too..
Ironically on the two occasions we think family members had covid we couldn't get hold of a test.
