How many tests have you taken?

I've yet to take one and from what I've seen I'm definitely in the minority! DH hasn't either. DD took one, last year, and it was negative (she had a bit of a sniffle/cough and the symptoms had gone by the time the test arrived in the post).

DH and I - none
Primary age DS - one as he was selected ar random for a research study this time last year

starfish4 · 21/04/2021 19:01

1 PCR. Negative. Work at a school so regularly go down with colds/stomach upsets. Numerous LFTs.

DD 2 PCR prior to operations.

DH 0. A few LFTs - he goes into office occasionally and is meant to take one night before.

poppycat10 · 21/04/2021 19:03

None.

DH did an Imperial College study so has done one.

DS has done a few for college.

None of us have had to do them with symptoms.

1 PCR for me which was positive.

DH 3 PCRs as they lost the first ones. A couple of LFTs.

Both DDs usually two LFTs a week.

Bazookapie · 21/04/2021 19:40

0 for both DH and me.

RaeRaeMama · 21/04/2021 19:51

I've taken 2

Once because I went into hospital unexpectedly

The second time because the government wrote to me asking if I would take a test and do a questionnaire

Both were negative

NanooCov · 21/04/2021 20:04
  1. Each one in advance of a medical procedure.
coconutmonkey · 21/04/2021 20:10

My partner and I are both teachers. 0 tests for both of us. In fact, 0 for my whole family.

HeronLanyon · 21/04/2021 20:23

None.

TrashPanda · 21/04/2021 20:29

1 PCR for me, DP and 2 kids, all negative. A handful of LFT each for me, DP and eldest kid.

MaryThorne · 21/04/2021 20:58

1 PCR back in May (Covid Symptom app asked me to get one when I had sniffles), 1 LFT while awaiting results of DS's PCR. He said he couldn't taste his food properly the evening after a child in his class had a positive test result just before Easter - his test was negative.

Wellbythebloodyhell · 21/04/2021 21:53

Myself and 2 older dc are having twice weekly LFT for work and school but haven't had to do any PCR tests for symptoms

Basaka · 21/04/2021 22:11

None

CrunchyCarrot · 21/04/2021 22:46

None.

MrsBennetsnerves · 21/04/2021 22:52

3 PCR, 1 LFT. 1st PCR was positive.

Buzzinwithbez · 21/04/2021 23:10

Zero

BogRollBOGOF · 21/04/2021 23:34

None. There's been no need to.
DCs go to a small primary school and their years haven't had any cases.
DH WFM
SAHM
The only indoor space any of us went to when cases were high was the supermarket late in the evening when it was nearly empty, so minimal risk of exposure.

BackforGood · 21/04/2021 23:43

None

Why do you think you are in the minority OP ?

ChocOrange1 · 22/04/2021 09:30

None
My husband has done 1 which was part of the ONS random sampling, not due to symptoms (negative)
My 4 YO has had 1 for a temp and gastro symptoms (negative)

RuleWithAWoodenFoot · 22/04/2021 09:46

Two PCRs for a trial thing last summer.
One PCR because I felt like shit in January.
Twice weekly LFTs since February due to work.

All negative.

DenisetheMenace · 22/04/2021 09:48

Lost count. We took part in the ONS survey and now that youngest is back in college we’re all LF testing twice weekly.

Jo99996 · 22/04/2021 10:09

I’ve taken zero and if this nonsense ever ends my total when they finally shut the centres will still be zero.

MRex · 22/04/2021 10:28

You don't know if you'll become infected in coming months, so what you mean is that even with symptoms you'll refuse to test, thereby spreading covid further. What's odd is that you choose to advertise yourself as both stupid and selfish, but I guess that's the stupid in you.
Jo99996 · 22/04/2021 10:42

Where did I say I would go out if ill?

Maybe it’s you that’s stupid
