Anyone had AZ with little / no side effects?

I had Pfizer a few days ago and have been pretty much fine otherwise than a tender arm and feeling a bit odd on and off. DH had AZ this morning, a bit hesitantly because of the news this week but decided to go ahead anyway, and all I'm seeing on here are horror stories about the awful side effects, not just the clotting one (must stop doom scrolling!).

Whereas in real life I know several people who've had AZ, and most of them, regardless of age, have felt a bit rough for 24 ish hours then fine. So I'm hoping DH will be the same.

Anyone had AZ and not had any side effects at all / very little?! I'm looking for some balance to all the negativity!

DH just had a sore arm but didn't know until he lent on it.

I had chills during the first night and felt like I had a cold the next day. Slightly sore arm. But that's all.

Rina66 · 11/04/2021 21:15

No symptoms at all other than a tender arm - I did take paracetamol an hour before I had the Astra Zeneca jab though!

BikeRunSki · 11/04/2021 21:16

I had mind 2 weeks and 2 days ago. Sore arm fir 3 or 4 days, but nothing that stopped me doing anything.

NaturalBlondeYeahRight · 11/04/2021 21:17

Nearly everyone I know had az with hardly a symptom between them. Only one friend had it and felt rough for about 24 hours but she is always a drama llama anyway.

GertrudePerkinsPaperyThing · 11/04/2021 21:26

My parents were fine with AZ, especially my Dad who had nothing at all. My Mum has a slightly sore arm and a bit iffy on the same day, but then fine.

freckles20 · 11/04/2021 23:25

Very slightly sore arm. Nothing else

Lumene · 11/04/2021 23:55

Yes, me. OH a bit fluey the following day and went to bed in the afternoon but otherwise fine.

Lumene · 11/04/2021 23:56

I didn’t even have a sore arm and hardly felt the jab.

ilovesooty · 12/04/2021 01:25

@Rosti1981

No side effects at all, not even a sore arm, was completely uneventful!
Same here.
ApplesinmyPocket · 12/04/2021 01:35

Nothing at all. Maybe a slightly sore arm if I thought about it? otherwise nothing.

Funny really - having read so many anxious posts and predictions on here over the past weeks, I thought I might feel ill-ish at least a bit for a few hours, so I stocked up on ready meals for a couple of days, which I didn't need as I felt right as a trivet, but I ate anyway Grin

Hope you and all the other worried AZers feel reassured by all these posts, OP, as it's NORMAL to have no or minimal reactions.

CentrifugalBumblePuppy · 12/04/2021 01:40

I had my AZ 1st dose yesterday. Nothing for the first 12 hrs apart from an annoying headache that paracetamol cleared (but possibly linked to cracking my head a week ago on a scaffolding board & a headache most of last week lol).

Around 2:30am, had the oddest fever dreams & a temp of 37.8c, the odd little aches where I don’t usually have them.

Worst thing is the aching arm which started this morning, more annoying than anything.

Far better than the husband 2 weeks ago, who ended up shambling around in The Dressing Gown of Despair. But that’s his default position anytime his temperature rises about a nano Celsius above normal.

Time40 · 12/04/2021 02:02

No side effects whatsoever.

littlebillie · 12/04/2021 13:44

I had shivers for 2 hours after but with no temperature, fine after a nights sleep

wineandsunshine · 12/04/2021 13:54

I had mine last Wednesday - slight headache and raised temp but sorted with two paracetamol!

ceilingsand · 12/04/2021 14:06

My husband and mother in law. And my son. In think a high % don't have side effects, according to Kings College Zoe app Tom Spector. The research is on YouTube.

No side effects at all, 49 years old.

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 12/04/2021 14:09

DH had it with very little side effects. he felt a bit tired I think he just wanted a nap but overall fine

DeRigueurMortis · 12/04/2021 14:12

Not had mine yet but both DH and my DF had no side effects from AZ.

DM had a headache and felt a bit under the weather (as she described it) for about 24 hours and was then fine.

Kettledodger · 12/04/2021 14:14

Had AZ about 4 weeks ago and only had a slightly sore arm muscle for 2 days.

MarcelineMissouri · 12/04/2021 14:14

Out of all the people I know who’ve had it, dh has been worst affected, and really he was just tired and achey for a couple of days. Enough to make him stay in bed for a bit but over in 48 hours. Everyone else, including my 99 year old grandma has had nothing more than a sore arm.

LovelaceBiggWither · 12/04/2021 14:30

Arm was a tiny bit sore. I'm diabetic and my blood glucose readings went apeshit for a week and a half. Weird highs and a couple of weird lows.

DS was a bit unwell for a couple of days.
