Anyone had AZ with little / no side effects?

I had Pfizer a few days ago and have been pretty much fine otherwise than a tender arm and feeling a bit odd on and off. DH had AZ this morning, a bit hesitantly because of the news this week but decided to go ahead anyway, and all I'm seeing on here are horror stories about the awful side effects, not just the clotting one (must stop doom scrolling!).

Whereas in real life I know several people who've had AZ, and most of them, regardless of age, have felt a bit rough for 24 ish hours then fine. So I'm hoping DH will be the same.

Anyone had AZ and not had any side effects at all / very little?! I'm looking for some balance to all the negativity!

Yes my oh and fil both had it and no I'll effects at all. My fil just had his second dose a few days ago and he's been fine.
My mum and sister both had fever and the shakes for 3 days and my best friend was completely knocked out for a good 4 days after her first jab which was a surprise to Her as she'd already had covid really badly as well.

45, had it a couple of weeks ago. Took paracetamol, thinking right, here we go, bring it on. Nothing. Just a sore arm for a few days.

UntamedWisteria · 11/04/2021 15:55
  1. AZ about 4 weeks ago. Slightly sore arm for a few days, that's all.
Mindymomo · 11/04/2021 15:57

I had mine in March, no effects at all apart from sleeping really well for about a week after.

Skyliner001 · 11/04/2021 16:42

Me, none. Yet. 8 days post.

Skyliner001 · 11/04/2021 16:42

I'm 39

Rosti1981 · 11/04/2021 16:46

No side effects at all, not even a sore arm, was completely uneventful!

Firststariseetonight · 11/04/2021 17:57

No effects other than a slightly sore arm, but even that wasn't bad. Of the people I know who have had it most have had no side effects, or at most 24hrs of a slight temp/cold symptoms.

TuvoknotSpock · 11/04/2021 18:24

DH felt a bit ropey (40) But was fine overall. Had an early night when he felt the worst then felt much better

Scarby9 · 11/04/2021 18:31

No side effects here for me or any of my AstraZeneca friends. All aged between 40 and 60.

Bohemian18 · 11/04/2021 18:45

Nothing at all! Even worried it didn’t ‘take’! Hopefully it’ll be the same for the second jab.

Cityzen74 · 11/04/2021 18:49

Yes I had AZ a couple of weeks ago and felt fine. Arm slightly sore but didn’t need any pain killers. Hope your DH is ok.

rosie39forever · 11/04/2021 18:52

Had mine 7 weeks ago and no side effects apart from a slightly sore arm for 48 hrs, I know loads of people who’ve had the AZ jab and all apart from one who felt shivery and headachey have had no side effects.

Marguerite2000 · 11/04/2021 19:57

I felt tired for a few days, and very cold. Also had a slightly sore arm for a week or so, but only when I put pressure on it.

MiniMaxi · 11/04/2021 20:08

Felt crap (fever etc) for about 24 hours, then coldy/grotty for another 24 hours, then a very heavy painful arm for a couple of days after that. I don't count any of that as a serious side effect at all, just par for the course with vaccines. Hope he feels alright!

DenisetheMenace · 11/04/2021 20:12

No negativity here. DH, I, MIL, M and D, son IL’s parents and grandparents have all had AZ. 47-91 years.
Minor aches, bit tired for a day or so. sore arms for a few hours, couple of bruises at injection site.
Our kids, 18 and 26 would happily take it tomorrow if they were permitted to.

emmetgirl · 11/04/2021 20:19

Me - none whatsoever

MeridasMum · 11/04/2021 20:20

I had my first 2 weeks ago and, apart from tenderness in the jab area, I had no ill effects whatsoever.

DH had his on Friday afternoon and spent yesterday, till about 4pm in bed as he was feeling so rough but it had completely gone by early evening

Theunamedcat · 11/04/2021 20:44

BetsyJameson · 11/04/2021 20:55

Just an achy arm (but not as bad as with the flu jab) nothing else, family and friends also had AZ and have all been fine.

digginthedancingqueen · 11/04/2021 20:57

Me, just felt a bit tired the day after but nothing noticeable and was still working.

ODFOx · 11/04/2021 21:03

I had no problems after AZ dose 1. My arm was nowhere near as sore as it was after the flu jab and there was no other symptom at all.

Tal45 · 11/04/2021 21:07

My dad has had both and no side affects at all. My neighbour was fine with the first but felt quite bad the day after the second.

WouldBeGood · 11/04/2021 21:08

I had it and was absolutely fine aside from a very slightly sore arm when I moved it.

AnyFucker · 11/04/2021 21:09

My H had no side effects whatsoever, not even a sore arm
