Did anyone see the new report last night ?

So I know our government is donating to Covax, so is there international help from WHO to help them ? What is going on ? Are anyone like the Red Cross helping ?

To the next poster who mentions

It’s just flu
It only affects old people
Herd immunity
Lockdowns are inhuman
It only affects a small percentage of people.

Just watch the film
I am aware it’s a different variant but that can happen anywhere.
Those poor people
And their ignorant leader.

The epidemiologist Eric Feigl-Ding has been posting a lot on Twitter about the terrible situation in Brazil

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 02/04/2021 19:53

@Flaxmeadow well someone needs to tell him to STOP NOW, because other bad things are happening elsewhere.

AlinaSquareQueen · 07/04/2021 06:50

This may have already been posted elsewhere, but, I just felt sick to my stomach to read that Brazil had over 4200 deaths in one 24-hour period.

What I don’t understand is how India has a similar number of total infections as Brazil, but far fewer total deaths? India must surely be underreporting their death rates? Unless there’s something I don’t know.

AlinaSquareQueen · 07/04/2021 06:59

Sorry for bad grammar on previous post! It’s ‘its’ and not ‘their’ underreporting (I think).

ArseInTheCoOpWindow · 07/04/2021 08:42

I think India is meant to have a much younger population.

AlinaSquareQueen · 07/04/2021 12:31

Ah I see. That would probably account for it then.
