Are you under 40 and had the AZ vaccine?

Can you just give me a wave please? Or is there data on this anywhere?

I’ve had mine as an unpaid carer and am mid 30s but am the youngest person I know to have had AZ. It’s giving me the impression that I’m one of the first in this age group, which probably isn’t true. That thought is making the news about Canada suspending the AZ vaccine for under 55s a bit scary. So if you’re under 40, female, had AZ and are fine please reassure me. Blush

picklespark · 30/03/2021 21:42

I’m 31 and had my first dose 3 weeks ago, I’m fine. Had shit fever and chills side effects that laid me up for a couple of days and a dead arm for a while after that but all ok since.

19yo Dd had AZ jab back in January (spare dose for volunteers at end of session).
Said she did feel off the next day (only for that day).
Keen to get next dose, booked in about 10 days time.

JemimaMuddledUp · 30/03/2021 22:00

Groups 4 and 6 had the AZ here, so lots of people under 40. I had it back in February (group 4) but am just over 40 Grin

30 and had mine on 28th Feb.

QueenPaw · 30/03/2021 22:06

Group 4, 36 and had my first dose a month ago

geminiflanagan · 30/03/2021 22:08

38, had mine last week. Felt so terrible the day after that I actually cried on my husband, and had to take the day off to go back to bed. Really awful. But that passed in 24hrs. Achy arm last about 5 days I think.

Also the youngest person I know to have it. Underlying health issues.

laurynlouu · 30/03/2021 22:09

25 and had it last wednesday
have a underlying health condition

Rainbow1378 · 30/03/2021 22:15

@Angel2702

I’m 38 had first dose in February. No side affects at all and I have a blood clotting disorder.
I've been looking for someone who's had it with a blood clotting disorder/or information about getting it with a clotting disorder as my husband and DD have anti thrombin deficiency and I can never find any info on it! This is reassuring to know.
moochingtothepub · 30/03/2021 22:26

Dd has had it as has dps dd, they are early 20's cv

Allmyarseandpeggymartin · 30/03/2021 22:30

Waves back. I had it about 4 weeks ago, felt crap for a day or two but wasn’t too bad and well worth it. Risk of clots from Covid is higher than a risk of clot from the vaccine so no brainier

cookiecreampie · 31/03/2021 00:20

33 and had it. I vomited once, very tired feeling and heavy legs the day after having it. The next day I was back to normal.

Scottishmum1984 · 31/03/2021 00:30

37 and had mine three weeks ago!

sachaf08 · 31/03/2021 11:37

I’m 30 and had it at the beginning of March, had a headache and fever the next day but the day after that felt normal again.

Boringlynormal · 31/03/2021 11:56

I love this thread. If I just read this, I feel ok. Probably an indicator of how bad my anxious brain is at assessing risk.

I'm 39 and got an unused vaccine at the end of the day. Felt fine for about 12 hours, then horrible headache and temperature for another 12ish hours, then absolutely fine.

It's a bit concerning to read about Canada this morning. I have an underlying health condition that puts me at an increased risk of blood clots but, I survived actual Covid in January, didn't die when I had the first AZ dose. I'll take the risk with the second dose in May.

Survivingmy3yearold · 31/03/2021 12:19

I'm 33 and had mine almost 2 weeks ago. I woke with a headache the day after but took paracetamol and have been fine since Smile

Rainbowsandstorms · 31/03/2021 12:47

@Boringlynormal it’s really helped me too thank you.

Hyppogriff · 02/04/2021 13:28

I’ll definitely be taking my second AZ dose when offered too

whataballbag · 02/04/2021 14:47

29 and had it. Also have severe health anxiety.

Felt like shit day after but that's it! Due second dose in 6 weeks

BogRollBOGOF · 02/04/2021 14:57

Just turned 40, had it yesterday due to age. Several local friends called-up in the 40-45 range.

Not feeling my best today, feels a bit early pregnancy kind of tired, tender, queasy.

I've got friends in their 20s who were vaccinated due to working in the NHS, but that may have been pfizer.

I've had years on hormonal contraceptives, had crappy births including an EMCS, so a question mark over blood clotting isn't a new phenomenon.

Okbussitout · 02/04/2021 15:02

Yes had mine in 3rd of Feb. I'm 35

Overoptimistix · 02/04/2021 23:16

36 and have had first dose of AZ, no medical or professional reason - was just randomly flagged for it. No side effect at all other than a sore arm.
