Even though I don't agree with it, I get the rationale of sneakily breaking lockdown to see family/friends and opening businesses when it's still illegal.

This on the other hand is just such moronic unnecessary behaviour?!

Give up everything
Really? @millenialblush
Yes lockdown had been shit but we have a way out now. Wearing a mask id a small inconvenience even for glasses wearers and Asthmatics like me but if it allows lockdown to be lifted and schools to remain open I will take that.

Northernsoulgirl45 · 01/04/2021 09:17

Or rather if it contributes to things opening up.

millenialblush · 01/04/2021 09:47

Yes really @Northernsoulgirl45. Businesses have closed, industries are on their knees, people haven't been able to see their families, say goodbye to loved ones dying in hospitals, treatments on the NHS have been paused, I could go on... all this while we have worn masks. If you cant see beyond your own circumstances and think these lockdowns haven't had a lasting damaging impact then lucky you.

I’m as sick of masks as the next person and think, in the whole, they make f* all difference. However, I can’t watch the video without thinking how pathetic this is.

Tumbleweed101 · 01/04/2021 12:24

Hate masks and will be very glad when they are no longer mandatory, however I wear them as needed as it is currently law. However I do question how useful they are now many people have access to lateral flow tests, how many have been vaccinated and how the numbers have dropped. The numbers were rising despite the use of masks and came down with lockdown and vaccines which suggests masks have limited use.

We got covid from hospital after my daughter had worked there a few weeks. That is despite masks being in constant use. I worked a year in early years with no social distancing or masks and we haven't had a single case yet in the nursery.

@millenialblush I said lockdowns was shit. It affected my physical and mental health. The stress of attempting to homeschool 2 sen kids one with poor mental health nearly broke me. No therapy for said child and as a self employed person who was building her business lost money too.
But give up everything unless you lost your business and your home or your life is imo over dramatic

Or job etc.
