Is this just the norm? I don't know one single person who hasn't had 24-48hrs of feeling rotten? Was booked in for the booster Friday and have cancelled as working fir the following 4 days after- so far everyone has reported fevers, aches and general grottyness (work in healthcare) it's not a problem, but will do it on days off next week instead, just looking for the general consensus

Everyone at my work who had the second dose yesterday are saying that they feel worse this time than the first time. Really tired, sore and achey! Got mine tomorrow morning 😬

Had second dose yesterday and so far no side effects except for sore arm. Had both doses late afternoon and arm didn’t ache until much later in the evening both times. Aching, once presented, was constant for a few days for the first dose and this one following same pattern so far. With the first dose after a couple of days was fine but then for a further week was sore if brushed against something. Paracetamol had been taking the edge off though.

babyyodaxmas · 31/03/2021 20:45

Had my second dose 3 weeks ago. Didn't feel great the next day, possibly slightly warm (37.1) then absolutely fine. Arm more sore 2nd time as well.

U2HasTheEdge · 31/03/2021 21:05

I just had my second Pfizer a few hours ago.

Lots of my colleagues felt really unwell after the second jab but were fine with the first. I was fine after the first bar a sore arm and hope it is the same this time.

magicstar1 · 31/03/2021 21:12

My parents had their second doses yesterday and have no side effects at all. They’re in their 70’s.

bengalcat · 31/03/2021 21:17

Had two doses of Pfizer - mildly aching arm for less than 24hrs so regard this as no side effects . Majority of my vaccinated colleagues had no complaints .

Dontrainonmyparade · 31/03/2021 21:20

Second dose then straight into 3 long day shifts the other week. No side effects apart from tender arm.

Parky04 · 31/03/2021 21:20

Had my second Pfizer last Friday and like the first, no side effects at all.

MozzchopsThirty · 01/04/2021 13:00

1st dose of Pfizer I was fine
2nd dose yesterday, went to sleep ok with no problems, woke up at 1.30am and was awake until 4am, nausea, headache, shivering, sweating, aching all over 😩

I had covid in January, wonder if it's worse if you've had it?

Feel like shit today but so grateful to have been vaccinated.

Girlintheframe · 01/04/2021 13:39

I had my 2nd dose yesterday late morning. 1st dose I had no side effects.
Felt fine all day, legs felt a little like jelly which was weird.
Woke up today feeling dreadful, had to phone in sick to work. Have slept till now and feel worse than I did this morning.
Whole body is so sore esp back and hips. Feel very fatigued, haven't moved from my bed and feel I will be here the remainder of the day.
Still would rather have this than Covid.

@Toddlerteaplease

It's 13 days since my second and still not right.
Good grief, hope you’re better now
PilatesPeach · 01/04/2021 15:54

I have my 2nd dose tonight was hoping to feel ok tomorrow fingers crossed

Fortyfifty · 01/04/2021 15:59

I had my 2nd on Monday. Pfizer jab. No side effects. 1st one I had a headache and slightly aching looks which paracetamol dealt with.

SD1978 · 02/04/2021 00:01

I'm not sure if I'm relieved or slightly disappointed. Had the paracetamol and ibuprofen at the ready- several ice packs ready on rotation.........and didn't need any of it. Yes. Definitely a more painful arm than with the flu vaccine- not sure if it's more liquid or why that is the case, but other than that- absolutely nothing. They do say the older you are the less you are affected. Maybe it's my body's sign I'm old and crumbly 🤣🤣🤣

Had 2nd dose yesterday. Arm felt more sore than with first dose but nothing else other than a bit of tiredness.
I agree with others, a lot of colleagues have been knocked out by side effects from the 2nd jab. Feel lucky to have avoided

AnyFucker · 02/04/2021 00:10

1st .... 24 hours later had 24 hours of aching limbs, feel like shit, loss of appetite, lethargy. Exactly the same as when I had covid

AnyFucker · 02/04/2021 00:11

2nd...24 hrs later had 48 hours of just feeling a bit under the weather so an improving picture

SD1978 · 02/04/2021 01:01

@Girlintheframe - feeling better now? I agree though- very glad to have gotten it, even with all the potential side effects people have reported!

Had the second dose yesterday morning, had a sore arm by the evening. Ended up going to bed at 8pm feeling exhausted and sore and then was awake half the night with chills and hot sweats. This morning I'm just feeling really hot and a bit achey and have a headache on the top of my head that paracetamol seems to have helped with. I wonder if having covid inbetween my two jabs has made any difference to how I have experienced my symptoms this time around? After the first jab I was absolutely fine apart from the dead arm!

Girlintheframe · 02/04/2021 06:45

Much better thank you!

24 hours later I'm back to normal. So lucky, couldn't imagine feeling like that for days, weeks, months on end like some people have had to with Covid!

Jessicabrassica · 02/04/2021 06:55

We might just be hardcore healthcare workers but none of my colleagues had side effects to the second pfizer. A couple had headaches after the first. Team of 20.

CuthbertDibbleandGrubb · 02/04/2021 07:47

Mum had hers, only just a slight pain in the arm where the injection was.

RedFrogsRule · 02/04/2021 07:54

Sore arm but otherwise very well. I did a very physical activity for 6 hrs and was absolutely fine.
I had been made quite worried by all the posts. Decided I wanted to get out and enjoy my day so I did and no problems

Hboo31 · 02/04/2021 08:41

Sore arm after dose 1 - that's all.
Swollen and itchy around the injection site on dose 2 and very sore armpit (could be unrelated).
All in all nothing really to complain about

PilatesPeach · 02/04/2021 09:02

Had mine last night can feel my arm where it was injected but only a little bit tender, I have just done body balance and will do pump and yoga later & walk the dog so planning on carrying on as normal. No side effects.
