Hi,

I'm watching the Coronavirus briefing and I can't believe what I'm hearing!

Boris was saying that we saw what happened with other countries, we haven't been far behind in terms of a second wave, we've seen this before etc, as though we all know where this is heading, I.e, a 3rd wave!

He's talking as though this is inevitable! Have I missed something? Have vaccines been announced as useless?

These countries that he's talking about, the ones which we have always "followed in the past", don't have a vaccination programme like ours, so why is he speaking like this?

I feel really angry. He will have scared a lot of people talking like this.

@PrincessNutNuts

” If we wanted hospitals to be able to treat things other than covid then we shouldn't have let the covid infection level build for three months in early 2020, or again in late 2020.”

I started having outpatient appointments and treatments cancelled prior to mid March. They weren’t even testing hospital patients for Covid back then.

The NHS was hamstrung by the government's refusal to implement the world famous pandemic plan.

And testing has been a farce all along

But covid deaths began in January, and the NHS knew what was coming.

They already extended furlough to Sept by law so that tells you what's going to happen.

PrincessNutNuts · 11/03/2021 20:56

@StealthPolarBear

Can you explain the details of the number of deaths we'll surpass in the next week
The ONS data on what doctors have put on death certificates is about 11 days behind.

The current dashboard number is up to February 26th.

We'll find out how many death certificates have had covid 19 put on them by a doctor up to March 5th 2020 on Tuesday March 16th.

And it will be close to 150,000.

I was amazed that there wasn't a post on here asking why Furlough was extended to the end of September if we're opening everything up and going clubbing in the 3rd week of June

You mean you haven't seen the question asked and answered...
