They have only presented projections, what could happen if no action was taken. All the scientists come across as 100% professional, they all liaise with their counterparts in the devolved nations and globally. They just would not get away with presenting false anything. Yes scientific opinion varies but projection and facts are evidence based.

If I saw Whitty in the street, l'd stop and ask if he knew my dad, which is possible given their work histories and doctors and their endless networking.

Whether he did or didn't, I'd then say "don't forget, first do no harm". But I'd prefer to invoke the name of my father while doing so.
