Just been listening to his session in HoC (whilst pottering and putting shopping away,didn't sit and watch, not that sad😉) and though I know won't be popular,found him reassuring in his style,and in what he's saying.
To be health secretary in worst pandemic in generations will test,l anyone,and anyone would make mistakes,so I'm not excusing that: However,if he has to be accountable for those,which I agree he does,he also deserves the credit when things go well, mainly the vaccine rollout,and the early ordering,which is going so well,and giving so much hope,and protection,to many

As far as I know he’s ok to work with. It was noticeable he didn’t throw people under the bus when there were cockups and praised their hard work. If not their success.

His enthusiasm for bright shiny things is a sign of inexperience. Like the want for a new shiny app. I expect many around him could have urged caution but he pushed on.

The “killing your granny” sounds like a comment thrown out in a meeting that he latched onto against better advice. I mean it does sort of capture the consequences of foolish behaviour but you can’t tell people they are killing their grannies.

Have you seen the interview with him outside Warrington hospital?!

Ughhhhh. The video of him standing waaay too close to the female reporter and staring intently at her like a serial killer to the point she had to move her bag between them was so uncomfortable.

Personally I lost any scrap of respect I may have had for him when he refused to condemn Dominic Cummings’s behaviour. If he had an ounce of integrity he would have done so, but preferred to go along with what the ‘big boys’ told him to do

No Tory Fan but he's a decent guy and appears to genuinely care. A few things have come out in the media in the last few days about him disagreeing with some of Boris's decisions (i.e. backing SAGE). plus he's a bit easy on the eye

@Riv12345 I've seen the video. He did not have a hard on, that's just something people have theorised, due to the fact he stood a bit close to a woman and looked socially awkward.

He is a person who is naturally shy and struggles to cope with public speaking, but has overcome these things to make a successful political career. He's a bit socially awkward at times but I think he is working hard in a difficult role, and deserves credit for that.
