Arghhhhhhhhhh.....

I actually can’t take anymore. I’m barely holding on by a thread as it is and I’m really trying to not read the news but it’s everywhere.

I was expecting March/April but summer?!

@TheCap Im not sure I follow? if infection numbers are still dangerously high, children that are in y11 or y13 going into school is more important than the welfare of their teaching staff?
Personally, I don’t think so.

Then you’re obviously a bit thick.
There’s no need to be rude.
I think regardless of what year children are in, a year’s worth of disruption to their education is preferable to causing the virus to spread (as it has clearly been shown to do in schools) and cost unnecessary deaths. Obviously you can disagree.

Lockdowns will never end. Another virus will come along and it will start all over again. People need to rise up, like they have in Italy 🇮🇹 for example, and demand their freedoms back.
Of course lockdowns will end. The economy and society as a whole will be utterly trashed if we keep having lockdowns over and over again forever, and we're not going to repeatedly have new viruses with the same effects as covid.

Go ahead. Don't wait for other people. Video your uprising and put it on youtube. We could all do with a laugh.

Maybe you could burn your mask to show that you don't believe in viruses. You clearly think this one was invented. Was it Bill Gates?

I hope this time theybdo notnlift things too early, let's get it right even if its means 2 extra weeks or a month so we don't have to go back into one.

I qas fairly okay with tier 3 because gyms were open! So 🤞 we get to tier 3 soon.

With vaccination rollout going quite well I csnt see us being in lockdown in summer but again too many unknowns right now to make any promises

Just chill and live day by day and make each day your best day. Worrying that far in the future isn't going to help.

Twentyweektraining · 21/01/2021 23:33

I think we've all learnt by now that who the hell knows what's going to happen that far off in the future and yes anything over about 5 days feels like another country right now 😞

@Hollywhiskey

They don't know. Just get to February. The evenings are getting longer. Things are getting better and this too shall pass.

Why do you believe that? I don’t believe we’ve had nationwide lockdowns in the UK for centuries (happy to be corrected).
Rise up against what, a virus? Don’t imagine it would be very long before those rising up started to drop like flies. A nasty virus loves a crowd.

Dp facetimed with a friend 2-3 weeks back. His friend is italian. Lives in naples i think. Dp was asking how things were there. He sort of laughed and said 'soon the people will be cannibalizing each other for there is no money.' Italian gov not paying anyone anything.
All these people bleating about stricter lockdown clearly arent financially affected.
That's awful, how on earth are people meant to survive Sad

Nobody has risen up in Italy. Certain categories are protesting that they aren't able to open up as before (hospitality industry in red zone/tier 4 areas) but they are actually allowed to open anyway, just with restricted hours.
