There's a difference between refusing to confirm a date - any date - and it being likely to come to pass.
Catastrophising now isn't going to help anything - just as expecting politicians to have crystal balls is futile.
Right now, lockdown is taking the edge of the second wave (though it will be some weeks before this takes the pressure off the NHS, assuming new infections continue to fall)
And we're making good progress through the first 4 priorities for vaccination.
So there is hope.
And I've found it really helps to live a bit more in the present, and to live as well as I can right now. Tough days from time to time, hell yes. But I try not to dwell there, because all it does is add misery based on something that hasn't even happened yet
