So on the conditions list for group 6, psoriasis is listed.
I have psoriasis and have never been told I’m
in the at risk group?!
Does anyone else know anything about this!

I'm in group six too as I have type 1 diabetes, but I've never been 'told' this, I just looked at the list.

We are back on the list today.

This was updated today and has RA, lupus & psoriasis on the condition list - might change again by the time they get to doing group 6 vaccines mind!

I can't work out if that's a good thing or a bad thing!

I’ve been in touch with my doc and he said I don’t qualify for the vaccine although I have psoriasis and that only patients certain prescribed immunosuppressants prescribed by the hospital will qualify for the vaccine.
Has anyone else been told by their doc the same thing?

Whatsissname · 27/01/2021 09:46

I was going to ask the rheumatology nurse at my next appointment - but it's just been cancelled and rescheduled for March. Not going to bother phoning them as it won't change anything anyway. Just wait and see I suppose!

Yes, I've had a letter from the hospital which prescribed my immunosuppressive drugs which also lists my co-morbidities.

I passed it into my GP. (Would have been helpful if the hospital had copied them in tbh.)

The letter actually says to avoid hospital and GP appointments unless emergencies.

I've had a text this evening offering me a vaccine appointment on Wednesday! As posted perviousLy I am on Humira for psoriasis, but have no other underlying health issues (I am 58) , yet I am CEV according to NHS letters. I'm not complaining as I'm really happy to receive the vaccine, but not sure how they work out the criteria.

I have had psoriasis since I was 11. My dad has it too. Luckily, not arthritis. I've just had cv (not as badly as my dh) and my psoriasis has gone berserk.

Hi. Can you get yourself an emergency appointment or send some photos via e-consult? Something like Enstilar might help calm that down.

These autoimmune conditions are an absolute bummer, and viruses can and do cause flare-ups.

I've been rooting round my drawers to see what I've got. I've never been good at topical stuff- takes too long to dry, sticky etc. The plague stuff is easier cos it's wide areas. The guttate bits and general sandpaper feeling is trickier. Anti histamines tend to calm it down too.

Well I’ve been offered vaccine and I’m booked in for next Friday !
I think it’s because I’m newly diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis psoriasis I’ve had a steroid injection which is now wearing off and I guess next step is methotrexate and sulfasalazine so dr thinks it’s best to have covid jab before I start this combo ! Not gunna lie I’m feeling very relieved 😌 x
