Supermarkets need to get real!

When will supermarkets stop being a day out and only allow single parents in with kids and not families and couples?

Why doesn’t one parent wait in the car?

That’s like saying don’t arrest muggers on the streets it’s not important. If you stay in you can avoid them.

People should not be selfish and follow the rules simple. And supermarkets should enforce them.

We are all trying to minimise our contacts in the hope that this will prevent more transmission. It is hard to find new routines, but if we can then it will hopefully make a difference.

We don't drive and manage to feed a family of 5 with 2 weekly shops. Large rucksack and a pile of bags. While not everyone will be able to do this, I think the majority of able-bodied people should be ablle to. It would be easier for me if we all went to the shops together, cut it down to 1 trip a week, but the risk to everyone else of having to negotiate their way past 2 adults and 3 kids in an aisle suggests this is not the responsible thing to do.

We all want this hell to end, I would suggest those who don't drive possibly even more than most.

No, this is the thing, the majority are doing what they are told, its the very few which is not, and everytime the numbers go up, this government starts blaming the public. Despite the fact we are just following the very vague rules they give us.

Want to blame someone, go blame it on the government, not the people who have no choice but to try and make the best of this shitty situation.

@DoctorHildegardLanstrom

Actually the government fawns over people doing the right thing
I agree they have been slow.

But people must not break the rules.

Why are you so adverse to the rules being followed?

I don't think I've ever been to the supermarket with my other half for as long as we've been married, why do people do this?
So both can see what they fancy buying to eat? Not everyone has the same boring things on a shopping list every week.

Some people don't have cars and walk or go by bus or public transport to the supermarket. They can't carry everything so go together to share the load?

They are currently leaving the on-line slots for those shielding?

But mugging is illegal. Two people going shopping together is not.
