An Easter break in the uk and a summer break in Normandy. Wonder if they’ll happen, what d’ya reckon?

(both are fully refundable until 24 hours before, so not worried about the ££)

Maybe we should place bets Grin

Fingers crossed for you, OP. I had two holidays booked in 2020. 😭😂 I have to say, I think you have a better chance than I did.

MerlotChiantiMontepulicano · 23/12/2020 21:33

We had 4 holidays cancelled this year.

3 booked for next year, all UK and first one at Easter. Fingers crossed but I'm cautiously optimistic for some reason.

Coasterfan · 23/12/2020 21:47

We had 5 trips abroad cancelled this year, one 2 week summer holiday and some short theme park breaks so I m not booking any holidays abroad just yet, but we have a week at Easter in Wales booked and a week in devon in august. I m optimistic!!

BunsyGirl · 23/12/2020 21:50

I booked a holiday for Easter and it was cancelled 10 days later as BA cancelled the route.

MaddieElla · 23/12/2020 21:53

We have 3 as we have some big birthdays. Hoping they happen as they're in the second half of the year.

Polkadot89 · 23/12/2020 21:54

One at Easter, one in the summer, both in the UK

AnoDeLosMuertos · 23/12/2020 21:56

I think summer will be fine.

Crakeandoryx · 23/12/2020 21:59

One in May transferred from last year. I've no idea if we're going to make it but I'm hopeful.

Dreamingofvenice · 23/12/2020 22:09

I've already re arrange the one I had for feb to august (visit to DP family) not seen them now since aug 2019. I've got 2 others booked in the uk not optimistic but they are all fully refundable so thought I just book and hope for the best!

LongBlobson · 23/12/2020 22:47

I've got a UK one booked for Feb half term 😬

Verite1 · 23/12/2020 22:52

Booked one for May and one for August. I like to hope but let’s see!

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 23/12/2020 22:54

2 cancelled this year (although we'd actually already cancelled the 2nd ourselves before the company cancelled it). We've one booked for October next year, fully refundable like yours. Hope we all do get to go away!

OrangeBananaFish · 23/12/2020 22:58

I've got a regular UK holiday booked for June, and another to the same place for next new year. This new year one was originally supposed to happen in June 2020, but then moved to this new year and moved again.

We managed to go to France for 2 weeks this summer so hope to do the same again next year, but are not going to book it in Jan like we usually would. Will probably book in April if it looks like we may have a chance.

Tyranttoddler · 23/12/2020 22:59

I've got one booked for October which now for the first time seems up in the air!

SeasonallySnowyPeasant · 23/12/2020 23:03

I've got 4 but 2 of those are rebookings of holidays that were cancelled this year (including our honeymoon!). The first one's a UK break in April, then there are 3 abroad in June, July and November. I'm holding out hope for the last two but they're all fully refundable if not.

BillyAndTheSillies · 23/12/2020 23:08

We've got Disneyland Paris booked for May half term. I'm not holding my breathe. Booked it in April to cheer us up and have something to look forward to.

Would like to book something before January 5th as our travel insurance stops covering any new bookings after that date cancelled over covid changes such as needing to quarantine.

MintyCedric · 23/12/2020 23:11

I've booked a hotel for a long weekend in London mid July to celebrate the end of DDs GCSEs (assuming this bunch of lunatics will still insist on the exams going ahead).

Between elderly parent woes, Covid and the state of my mental health there's probably fuck all chance of it happening, but it was fun to browse and book it at the time.

winetime89 · 23/12/2020 23:15

I've just booked a holiday for June. Fingers crossed! it's with first choice so if it doesn't happen I should get a full refund. just something to hopefully look forward to.

WhiteChocTwix · 23/12/2020 23:38

Good luck to OP and all who are booked for 2021. We have a trip abroad booked for June. Keeping the faith it'll happen 🤞

KinderWild · 24/12/2020 00:20

We have Devon booked for end Aug and Wales for October half term. Hoping to get to see DHs family in Europe in July/August, planning to book flights over the Christmas period.

NeverForgetYourDreams · 24/12/2020 07:58

I've got all my 2020 holidays moved to 2021. Realising that easter probably isn't going to happen again now
One day we will fly away again

gannett · 24/12/2020 08:06

Wouldn't be booking any holidays that couldn't be refunded in 2021!

The thought keeping me going is that the money I'm not spending on 2020 (or 2021) holidays can go towards the kind of once-in-a-lifetime trip I wouldn't have been able to afford otherwise. I've no interest in going away anywhere unless things are fully back to normal - a holiday isn't a holiday to me without restaurants, bars, proper city life. And the ability to relax without wondering whether quarantine rules will change at the drop of a hat. I've accepted this may all be a while off.

InterfectoremVulpes · 24/12/2020 08:10

We've got easter (overseas) and May half term (UK) rebooked from this year. Hopefully they will go ahead 🤞

AnoDeLosMuertos · 24/12/2020 18:48

I’m moving abroad in August!

Porcupineintherough · 24/12/2020 18:55

I think you'll get your summer holiday. I personally wouldnt count on the Easter one unless it's in your area.
