Want back:

Coffee shops
Live theatre
Concerts
Seeing friends/family without having to count them or pay attention to where we are and remember the current rules.
Holidays

Happier without:

Traffic jams and mass pollution
Crowded airports
The after-conversation when a meeting is over that I would rather not be involved in
People invading my personal space

My job

QueenBlueberries · 28/11/2020 20:28

Seeing my family (They live in another country), Holidays, hugging my friends, pubs.

Could go without: surprise visitors, Taking the kids to all their activities

whatwouldyoudo85 · 28/11/2020 20:30

Hoping that it becomes normal to WFH at least 50% of the time.

Otherwise I would like everything back the way it was!

Wildwitchofthewest · 28/11/2020 20:32

People crowding me in a supermarket. I don't want that back. Having to be in the office 5 days a week. I don't want that either.

OrangeBananaFish · 28/11/2020 20:38

I want back:
Races and parkrun
Cinema
Running club the way it was

What I dont want back:
Rush hour
Going to the office 5 days a week (happy with a couple)
Personal space invaders (including hugging, I'm not a hugger)

FireUnderpants · 28/11/2020 20:59

I want back
My hairdresser and nail lady. Both have absolutely huge waiting and cancellation lists.
Being able to sit in a coffee shop.

Things that can stay
Zoom Parents evening for secondary DC. I managed to book all the teachers, didn't have any one jump into my spot and wasn't struggling to hear in a packed hall.

E consult form for my gp surgery. I've used it several times and it's been fab. Filled it out twice in an evening fuor a non urgent issue for DC. Both times the next morning I had a call and a prescription pinged to the chemist. When DS had to be seen in person there was no wait and lots of in person slots available.

I'm quite liking the click and collects being efficient in shops.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 28/11/2020 20:59

I want everything back apart from the table service in pubs, much prefer that than fighting to get served at the bar.

Nomoreboobs · 28/11/2020 21:03

Everything back 🤷🏻‍♀️

Racoonworld · 28/11/2020 21:03

Right now I want everything back, even rush hour. I’ll take all the bad things back as long as everything can come back.

MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously · 28/11/2020 21:03

I want the worry to go away.
I'd like to keep DH WFH, masks (am appreciating the increased hygiene in public spaces), being seen on time at appointments.

Nomoreboobs · 28/11/2020 21:06

@MrsHuntGeneNotJeremyObviously You’d want to keep masks?!

whatwouldyoudo85 · 28/11/2020 21:09

Bloody hell, I definitely don't want to keep masks!!

Rabbitholebonkers · 28/11/2020 21:10

I want the relief to come back to me that life really will return to “normal”. Seems like it never will.

I want to be able to pick my three kids up from school without waiting half an hour in between pick up times. I don’t know anyone else who has to wait so long and it’s weary now in the freezing cold. Such a drag twice a day.

I want to be able to book holidays and days out I just want thing to look forward to nice things.

Life has lost its spark.

Rabbitholebonkers · 28/11/2020 21:11

Sorry, awful mistakes there, it’s been a longgggg day.

borageforager · 28/11/2020 21:14

No masks please!

I would like to keep the kids wearing their PE kits to school on PE bags. A great innovation.

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 28/11/2020 21:15

International flights. BA cancelled dms flight out to us at xmas.
Choir, cultural events.
Im quite happy not seeing many friends but dd couldnt have a birthday party. And that made her sad.
My favourite cafe/restaurant.

Pootle40 · 28/11/2020 21:16

My life

StrictlyAFemaleFemale · 28/11/2020 21:16

Life has lost its spark.

Agree with this!

HollyBollyBooBoo · 28/11/2020 21:17

Don't want
Masks
Working in an office full time

Do want
Friends and family
Restaurant
Just the general feeling of depression and being off kilter.

Nomoreboobs · 28/11/2020 21:19

I’d love to see us all without masks, smoking and talking to one another at supermarkets etc, instead of the strange paranoia and mistrust I feel around me.
I’d love to go back to the hugging and kissing on both cheeks (am in another country) when you see someone you know.
Would love the constant anxiety and worry for the future to go away and to feel more carefree again.
Would just like us all to really live again, this isn’t a life.

megletthesecond · 28/11/2020 21:19

Leg waxing and the gym. (I'm not risking it until the early summer).

Nomoreboobs · 28/11/2020 21:19

*Smiling, not smoking 😂

Tearsfortiers · 28/11/2020 21:21

I want to keep:
Quieter roads
More efficient GP service
No hugging and kissing of friends
Parents' evenings on Zoom/Teams

I don't want to get back
DH working abroad for six months of the year (he's worked from home since March

LegoPandemic · 28/11/2020 21:21

Seeing my family and friends
Eating out
Holidays
Fun!
Back ASAP please

If those are sorted I can live with the rest. If the PPE requirements stay the same for fillings etc I won’t want to do Dentistry much longer.

nononovember · 28/11/2020 21:22

Not having to wear a mask.
Feeling worried about passing Covid on.

Would love to keep the way i do drop off now, so much easier.
Really hope to keep wfh 50% of the week, I love it.
