How can this be? Most out of town parks are made up of the same shops and are generally non essential, even allowing for people collecting orders, surely it still wouldn't be that busy.

Though if it is all click and collect then they will be standing in a queue outside, so irrelevant really.

I have no idea how it could be like it was, I expected an empty car park. Deliberately chose Costa rather than Starbucks as that’s by Aldi.

I guess the shop we can visit to get new flooring during "lockdown" is non essential, it's certainly still open though.

I’ve been out today to meet my daughter as she’s had a difficult week and we needed more than just a phone call. We met at a drive through coffee place and parked in adjacent spaces for a chat. It was at an out of town retail park with no supermarket and it was insanely busy. We queued for 20 minutes to get out of the car park. We are supposed to be avoiding unnecessary contact and the situation resembled Christmas week in normal times. It’s just unbelievable. However reading the thread I can see why

I understand it may have been difficult times but yet again you seem to have headed somewhere and surprised it was busy.

And you are hardly avoiding unnecessary contact by heading to a cafe on a retail park.

Supermarkets are always busy on a Saturday even more so when it’s raining

Neither of us got out of our cars. Neither of us crammed into the shops. Given there is no supermarket on the site, yes I was surprised it was quite so busy. And no, I don’t consider myself to be part of the problem.

So you weren't in the queue to get out of park for 20mins you contributed to that.

I don't care if people are out or not but Everyone seems to have got a reason why they need to go somewhere and they are the ones following rules.

Went to Tesco earlier for the weekly shop. If it hadn't been for the masks you wouldn't know anything was happening. Very busy too, people in couples and dragging their kids around.

If you go to a place that is permitted to open during lockdown then no, I guess you wouldn’t know. However if you tried to go to a bar, or restaurant, or theme park, or museum, or theatre, or soft play centre, or hairdressers, or beauticians, for example then you might notice something was amiss.

I would rather do anything than go to a supermarket for a day out

Me too. And the lucky lucky staff getting headaches from all the screaming kids because they're bored. I am not a TV person but TV versus supermarket = no contest.

That’s fine, you don’t have to.
