@Torvi

Me. Bookkeeper in the leisure industry.
I'm also a bookkeeper in the leisure industry but I'm the only person in the company who wasn't furloughed. I am the only person who does accounting/HR etc though so I have had to carry on.

I'm still on furlough and likely to be until September. I work for a furniture manufacturing company and people aren't buying. Even if orders pick up again I have no childcare and can't do my job from home so there's not much I can do until school opens.

I’m still on furlough, have been since 24th March. Haven’t heard a single thing from my employer, not even a reply to an email that I sent.
The employees that are still there have had their annual appraisals, but nothing for me.
I am assuming that I won’t be going back. I’ve been there nearly 30 years - clerical/admin.

DdraigGoch · 29/06/2020 16:41

I think our local leisure centre, the life guards etc have been furloughed according to the local paper
Some of the ones in my area found themselves assisting on the bin lorries.

DP is furloughed and currently going through the redundancy process. He’s been looking for a new job since April, as he expected the redundancy. Nothing going in hospitality though.

I’ve been working from home, job seems fairly secure. Tech industry but we supply the pharma industry.

VicSynix · 29/06/2020 17:38

I'm furloughed, twice. Once from a part-time job in admin at a private school - where 95% of the non-teaching staff have been furloughed. That's admin, catering, cleaning, groundsmen, events etc. Hoping to go back in September but a strong chance of being made redundant.

And once from a part-time job working for a small artisan food producer. Our monthly sales have been 75% down on the same time last year. Hoping things will pick up in the autumn.

bigchris · 29/06/2020 20:43

@Cantthinkofanother that is truly awful, is there a HR department?

HalfDutchGirl · 29/06/2020 20:45

I am - Southampton cruise terminal, probably won’t be back til next season Sad

LittlemissAWOL · 29/06/2020 20:50

I am work in admin. There are only 2 of us still furloughed but others have been made redundant

Lelly0503 · 29/06/2020 22:36

Me, I work in recruitment and the clients we supply to have a recruitment freeze on, so there’s just no work on. I am supposed to be going back in a couple of weeks, to cover for someone who’s leaving. I think there will be some redundancies.

Longdistance · 29/06/2020 22:42

School admin. I’m going back Wednesday. Originally I was furloughed until September, but I got called in last week. I do know that the other person has done many balls up and I’m needed back.

Elledouble · 29/06/2020 22:54

IT implementation consultant. Furloughed until at least July 31st. Not confident about having a job afterwards - I should be applying for new jobs but I’m too exhausted with the homeschooling.

Ohnoducks · 30/06/2020 12:48

Me, my entire company is, but we're in an indoor fitness use so we don't know when we can reopen and no realistic way of moving it outside without a £100k+ cash injection which just isn't feesible

Lulu1919 · 30/06/2020 12:51

My husband....he's a coach driver for a small family run company
