Immunity certificates. So your life is stopped until you have had it?

Am I reading right this morning. So if you have had it you will get a certificate and told to life your life. But if you have not had it then you have to live a life of restriction? Well I’m sorry but no. No more sitting at home. I’m telling mum I’m visiting next week.

Side note, I went to around 20 of them as a child, I've still never caught it.

Makes more sense to do it on health status. Healthy people aren't going to stay home forever, lose jobs, homes, financial ruination.

Yep and that is a very hard question to answer, the less risk you have though, the harder lockdown is for you personally. People are already starting to get back to normal. The hardest question of all is schools.

Instead of feeling outraged about lockdown, you need to learn to accept it.

You’re not doing yourself any favours and are certainly not the only one missing people.

At least your mum will be there after this, unlike some people.
By going to see a relative you’re not just risking yourself, but them too.
The biggest risk we have are the people that aren’t showing any symptoms.

The idea is ridiculous. So if you're in lockdown, can't go on holiday, see friends and relatives, live and work normally until you've had it and have your certificate ?

It will take years for everyone to have it so people aren't going to live like that, missing out on normal life, possibly losing their job, so then if people try to 'get it over and done with' you're risking more spikes and overwhelming the NHS when the death rate peaks again.

This won't be a thing. It's creating a two tier society, and encouraging people to go out and get it in order to get a passport.

We also don't know if you are immune yet.

Also it might mutate before the winter, so even if you were immune, you might not stay immune.

No, no decisions have been made about immunity certificates, it's just one possible suggestion (and fairly unlikely in my opinion as it will encourage people to try and get it and risk a spike). Don't get all aerated about something that may never happen.

3.Discrimination by Employers

4.System Gaming

If a test result is a requirement for a resumption of work, a range of strategies to ‘game’ the system may arise. These include people deliberately seeking out infection or attempting to purchase a fake test result, commercial organisations selling unapproved tests, or approved tests becoming available through private organisations at prices that make them unavailable to most. Assuming that health and social care workers will be provided tests for free from their employer, this risk is likely to be more relevant to other sectors

Also that people who test positive may be asked to do more 'high risk' tasks

My ex had it, and I didn't. Really scared that the first thing he is going to do is to run to the family court stating that this makes him a better parent (happened a couple of times before for much smaller things).

Where are you getting your “news” from? None of this is official policy. It’s all speculation. It’s like you’re having a conversation with voices in your head.

Wait for the official briefings every day. Read a broadsheet not a tabloid.

Well if you are healthy under 45, your risk is minimal, if antibodies test and a certificate are going to get your life back on track then you are better off getting it.

I knew as soon as Hancock said that all the papers would go crazy with it. I don't think we should read too much into it yet because -

1. They won't do anything with this until they are confident that antibodies provide immunity which will be a while. Maybe never.
2. Those who tested positive for the virus with antigen test but don't go on to develop antibodies will be an issue
3. They won't want people trying to get it
4. Legal complications as pp mentioned.
5. They keep changing their mind.

6.it will take them years to get around to testing a large number

1. It may be guidance as to what you can safely do in limited context, eg as frontline nhs re PPE.

Also when the first people start dying and their family say they got it on purpose to get the govt immunity certificate...
