Would you report a police officer flouting lockdown?

A PCSO who I know to say hello to (used to cover our area and also lives around here) is clearly flouting the lockdown rules and it’s really irritating me.

I saw her three weeks ago, walking her baby granddaughter in her pram-the daughter granddaughter and partner most definitely 100% don’t live in the same household.

Then, just today I’ve seen her walk past our house, with the daughter walking really closely side by side.

I’m shocked as she should know better shouldn’t she? Should I tell anyone?

How do you know they didn’t move in together for lockdown?

Maybe this is her only childcare option ?

It's prob not worth it but she should indeed be setting an example.

Really?! I'm really struggling with the amount of people desperate to report someone. You have no idea of the circumstances in someone else's life and the fact that they may have no other option. It's hardly like they are throwing wild parties with hundreds of people attending 🙄

What do you think will happen? You’ll get a medal and a certificate?

Why the eye roll? She’s a police officer, blatantly flaunting that she’s seeing family. My sister in law went on a jolly to wales today but I’m not reporting her (only because they would know it was us)

You have no idea what the circumstances are or why they may be together.

My sister is massively, struggling with with her mental health right now. My family are taking it in turns to do things like going for a walk with her.

Are the police enforcing 3 people walking together though? Round here they definitely aren't, mainly as they don't have a clue who lives together, they'll only know if people report them. You don't have a clue what's going on in their lives, surely? My parents go to my brothers as he has complex needs and his support was whipped away because of covid, if anyone was pathetic enough to report them then they would tell the police that. Perhaps her daughter is struggling, maybe she has PND and the support she gets from her mum is invaluable to her; or maybe you need to just mind your own business.

Could be mental health issues which is allowed by the way to meet up with family in these circumstances.

So what do expect them to do? Only enforce the laws they want? Or that you think they should!

Fwiw most forces aren’t enforcing any more as the guidelines are so woolly it’s impossible. Only big public gatherings and such.

PCSO’s aren’t officers, either.
