Crap start to day so i took myself off to a beach not too far away. Glorious sunshjne and gentle beeze so not hot. Paddled, walked barefoot, sat on rocks and dangled my legs in the water and had a lovely time. Water was just cold enough and made me feel.alive again.

Went to garden centre and bought stuff then shopping.

Sod the bloody lazy kids i had fun! 😄😄😄

CrowCat · 25/05/2020 17:34

Town today with DD2 and Subway was open! Sat on the grassy area and ate our subs then had an ice cream. All very normal 😊

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 25/05/2020 17:52

Some twat moaning about painted rocks and that there's too many of them. Apparently that's akin to graffiti in the woods.Hmm

Trevsadick · 25/05/2020 18:18

I saw the ricks one this morning.

Couldn't be arsed to explain this has been around at least 2 years and will be around after.

So many people want things hpw they want it. Fuck anyone else's enjoyment.

Twats.

Willow2017 · 25/05/2020 18:19

Princess Did you see the thread about dementors using the painted rocks to berate anyone going for a walk in the woods? "Stay home" and every variation on that was painted on rocks and left for people so they would feel guilty 'obey'😄😄 How nuts is that? They would have been thrown into the undergrowth by me😄 The fact thst the painter had to go into.the woods to leave them was kinda lost on them i suppose🤣🤣

Trevsadick · 25/05/2020 18:29

'YOU WILL OBEY THE PAINTED ROCKS!!!!'

The dementors really believe their are in Harry Potter, dont they. Rocks that put you under their spell and compel you to obey.

What the actual fuck!

Trevsadick · 25/05/2020 18:33

Infact, I haven't ever done the painted rocks.

But i am going to start. Things like......
'I went and bought hairdryer

'My kids got several easter eggs'

'I am currently having a walk with my best friend who I dont live with'

And nice simple

'Do you make your own lockdoen rules and expect other people to obey......fuck you!'

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 25/05/2020 18:47

Did you see the thread about dementors using the painted rocks to berate anyone going for a walk in the woods?

No... seriously? People are well and truly idiots. I might get DD to do some with lick me and I'll make the eat me ones 😂😂

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 25/05/2020 18:49

We've done them once or twice. DD has the attention span of a newt so she prefers finding them to painting.

OP posts:
Trevsadick · 25/05/2020 19:19

God...yes! Have one that says....'i have licked this one!'

Yeah ds wouldn't be arsed painting them. But dd would like to write anti dementor statements on them

110APiccadilly · 25/05/2020 20:51

Painted rocks are graffiti? I've heard it all now!

We don't have a lot round our way, but they'd have to be there in such huge quantities before they were a problem - I've never ever seen that!

Afraid I've been out causing the Corona acid rain again today. Someone should paint a rock to stop me.

Trevsadick · 25/05/2020 20:53

According to the thread some areas have hundreds and they are all you can see Hmm

110APiccadilly · 25/05/2020 21:12

I am imagining a sort of "side of Mount Doom" landscape made entirely out of painted rocks now.

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 25/05/2020 22:13

I'm imagining Mount Rushmore in neon colours.Grin

Some alcohol might've been consumed today.

No painted rocks round my way. But then lockdown never really happened to any extent where I live and it's definitely been cancelled altogether now. Many big house/garden parties this weekend/today. Mostly for Eid.

GnomeDePlume · 26/05/2020 05:50

Back to work today after a lovely long weekend. Kill count will be low as I sit in spledid isolation in my office at the top of the house.

On the other hand 3 of the household have been at work since before dawn picking, packing and loading for home shopping so they will no doubt be doing their bit. No social distancing is necessary for the invisible workers.

Last night some neighbours decided to have a go at operatic arias. Not good! Thank heavens for earphones.

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 26/05/2020 10:13

Shops and post office today all with DD in tow. The public better hide!

The kids doing an odd painted rock - fine. On a local FB page there is one kid/family who must be high on paint fumes, the amount of production per day is more than an active ETSY craft worker. These are the same folk who have a hope/spirit tree they’ve made in a local sea inlet bay - it’s like Satan’s frigging Maypole. I like my nature natural. Once things return to ‘normal’ I hope it’s subject to a violent localised sea squall - I wouldn’t dismantle it myself, but would be thrilled if the sea 🌊 had the last word on it. Happy to pick remnants up from there or neighbouring beach and recycle reuse upcycle etc.Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and all that jazz !

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 26/05/2020 17:14

What the hell is a hope/spirit tree?

People do quite a lot of rocks in one go around here, but at the same time a lot of them take them home instead of rehiding so the most we've found was about 20ish in a 3 km walk. A lot of the times we barely found 5 , apparently they're very well hidden.Grin

GnomeDePlume · 26/05/2020 19:58

See, this is what happens when you arent on facebook and the like. Whole new trends come and go without me ever hearing about them!

Painted stone hunting, who'd a thought it!

Am mightily hacked off, there is still no sight of my assistant being allowed to come back from furlough. The work is still there and we will soon to be heading into an even busier period.

Willow2017 · 26/05/2020 21:34

I dont do FB either except i am forced to for work or school etc.
Cant be arsed with continual 'updates' and photos of every detail of peoples lives. I am just an anti-social grumpy old bint i supppse.

Thankfully it means i have missed all the hysteria and dementoring on fb. Result😄

PrincessConsueIaBananaHammock · 26/05/2020 22:07

I've had Facebook for years since my family and friends are spread all over the world and so are some of OH's . Plus it helps keep all the (wayyy too many) photos saved and handy.

I'm quite fond of the memories feature atm as it shows pics of DD as a baby and comments and stuff. The first two years of her life are quite a blur.

OP posts:
GnomeDePlume · 26/05/2020 22:18

That wasnt a sniffy 'I'm not on facebook' thing. I'm just not on facebook because it kind of missed me. I was on Friends Reunited back in the day but realised that my life was unutterbly dull and didnt want to share that fact!

About the only thing I take pictures of is my allotment!
