Is it going to be optional? What about those children, or those children with household members who have been told to shield? If schools opening means lots of people expected back at work, what will they do for childcare outside school hours? Will grandparents be expected to drop off and collect? There's no way social distancing can be maintained in a school, so if we're doing away with it there, couldn't we open up bars and cinemas again (I don't think we should btw)?
I can see it happening, but I can see it being a pain in the arse all round, and if any 'lockdown' rules remain, they'll seem even more backwards and people will be even less inclined to comply. This doesn't matter so much if the plan is to gradually ease the lockdown once the situation is in hand, but I just feel like it's too soon. Although a lot can change in a month, I suppose.
