Husband is insisting we stop at lunchtime for a family walk today. I don’t want to go. Kids are happy in the garden.

His position: kids need to get out. You need to get out. You’re anxious and they’ll become anxious too.

I never said I was anxious. I don’t think I am. I just hate the rigmarole of it. The feeling when someone is behind you etc. I’d rather just avoid it. Is anyone else feeling like this?

He said he would take them himself for the record but he is worried about me finding it hard to go out.

Why some people think that means they should go out more than they did I dont know.

But OP used to go out and now she isn't at all. That is a massive change in behaviour, and while her DH can't and shouldn't force her to go out, she should really examine that change herself and what (possibly negative) effects it has on her wellbeing.

Also don't forget that some people kept active by walking everywhere, having an active job etc ,which they aren't doing anymore , while not actively going out to exercise whether through lack of time and need. In the absence of that, now there is a need and there is time as well, hence seeing people out that you normally wouldn't.

Is anyone? People have school, work, shops, hobbies, going to the dump, seeing family normally. They might be going out for a walk more. I doubt people are going out more generally.

It's really not healthy to see no one but your family for weeks on end. I run (safely) and saying good morning keeps me saner. Shouting at my neighbours from my lawn yesterday was nice.
