Why did someone film me today?

Ok. I know you can’t actually answer this, but I’m genuinely baffled (and a bit pissed off tbh).

I was out for a run today, on the pavement of a quiet road, semirural, about 100 metres from home. Nearest people were about 20 metres in front of me on the path, no one else in sight. A car went past and the passenger clearly filmed me - holding her phone up, panning it around to follow me running.

Why???

I’m not particularly interesting looking. I wasn’t running like Phoebe from friends. Why was she filming? What’s she doing with the footage? I know I should just ignore and move on, but I’m totally confused. Did she think I was doing something wrong? Breaking lock down in some way?

I never believed that what happened with the Stasi could happen here as I’ve always thought that Brits are more pragmatic about rules, but I believe it now!

lyralalala Your post made me laugh! that posting, nosy, self righteous neighbour can't catch a break! called out every time! Grin

People have been asked not to ride though and use other methods to school horses for now haven't they - private land or not this is about the potential for injury. That was my understanding anyway. Not that I wld be filming any child like that and publically posting that is unreasonable

No.

DD has been doing lots of ground work with the odd bit of ridden flat work in the school. Her pony is sane and sensible. She’s not out hacking or jumping.

@ellenwood
I know !!
I have given up writing my normal diary as absolutely nothing happens 😂
I also think that during lockdown every one is going to find out that they actually don't have a novel in them, lol..

Some people are so weird. I have not came across this at all while I have been out for my daily exercise. People around here have been polite.

I did have one guy laugh at me in the supermarket when I came around the corner and nearly bumped into him. I apologised and he started laughing. Next time I might just bump him with my trolley. Twat.

Someone I know put a video of him driving past an epmty car in a layby near his home on SM. He captioned it something along the lines of "I bet this car belongs to tourists, thinking their above the law, hiking the mountains!" He had no evidence they were tourists he just did it to gain attention for 'looking out for his community' 🤦‍♀️ lockdown police!!

My son took a picture of a cat on someone’s wall the other day outside their house as we went for a walk, I hope the people didn’t think we were weirdos as he Really liked the cat and wanted to take a pic! (He didn’t touch it) The people inside probably thought we were nutters 😂

@PumpkinP In happier times, we visited Rhodes Old Town during a family holiday. Lots of beautiful old buildings, lots of tourists taking photos. In one spot there was a cat sunbathing in front of an old, weathered-looking ordinary front door and people were literally queuing up to photograph him Grin In fairness it would have made a perfect photo, but I loved the fact that all these people from around the world have identical photos of this one cat Grin

BanditoShipman · 18/04/2020 14:48

@PumpkinP one of my cats is massive and fluffy, bigger than some of our dogs. If you’re Worcestershire then we did see you and think Confused 🤣🤣
