Ocado slots

For those with the smart pass have you now been managing to get slots?

Just went on their website and wait was just one minute, then I had lots of options for slots.

They seem to have got their act together pretty quickly. Prices seem to be higher though but I think that's the lack of special offers.

Checked Sainsbury's and cant even log in so the same situation there

I can only see 3 days and nothing to book. They told me they would add me to the vulnerable list as DH is shielding, but nothing has happened.

WhenYouveAFirstInEnglish · 06/04/2020 13:17

Anytime smart pass holder and got an email saying I can have a slot every week. Initially got one for 10th which was two weeks away then a couple of days ago was able to get one for 17th.

WhenYouveAFirstInEnglish · 06/04/2020 13:19

You did go into the calendar when looking for slots, those who can only see three days? I had the same then it showed me furthe ahead on the calendar.

Inthemuckheap · 06/04/2020 13:25

I managed to get a delivery slot for this coming weekend on my allocated day last week. I haven't received an email yet this week but logged on yesterday, got through immediately and got another slot for the following weekend. Am a smart pass and ocado reserved but the reserved slots seem to have gone by the wayside. I'm south east (and also working full-time outside the home in health care before any snotty person jumps on me).

RogueV · 06/04/2020 13:26

I’ve been told every 10 days but can’t see any available slots. Not impressed

WindowOrchid · 06/04/2020 13:29

Smart Pass holder and I can log in no problem but see no slots for April (which is expected) but can't access May - is this the same for others?

Not shielded but pregnant and would like to try online when I can

Yellowbutterfly1 · 06/04/2020 13:33

I’d love to know how they determine if you are a ‘very loyal’, ‘loyal’, or apparently don’t give a stuff about you customer.

Inferiorbeing · 06/04/2020 13:34

If you go onto twitter there is a large group of us complaining, it feels like they are trying to trick us into thinking they care. I have been loyal since 2015 and I am done with them after all of this.

Allthecandles · 06/04/2020 13:35

@fizzybootlace this is the first online shop I’ve done since lockdown. I go to the supermarket on foot once a week otherwise. Ocado have obviously scaled their service beyond looking after disabled and elderly people because when they couldn’t they wouldn’t give me a slot which is fair enough. Why do you find it necessary to make these judgemental statements when you have no idea how the supermarkets in each area are managing deliveries. Pipe down.

31weeksgone · 06/04/2020 13:35

I’ve been told as of Tuesday I can see slots up to 7 days ahead, but can’t be guaranteed a slot. I’m a customer with mobility issues and am ordering for vulnerable parents, but my disability isn’t on the vulnerable list so waiting to see if I’ll be able to get a slot.

31weeksgone · 06/04/2020 13:36

(I’ve been a weekly customer for about 2 years, so clearly not very high up in priority despite spending hundreds each month. Annoying!)

fizzybootlace · 06/04/2020 13:41

@Allthecandles I do hope you value your mobility. One day you might lose it. You are physically able to shop. You should do so. End of.

Allthecandles · 06/04/2020 13:47

I don't need advice from you on what I should value in life. You think I'm sat here taking my legs for granted.
Not end of. It's totally reasonable for me to place a shop online when the next three day is completely full of available slots. Even now hours later slots available.
You literally have no idea what the situation is with the various supermarkets. You're just an idiot making guesses about something you don't understand so you can pass judgement.
I have never complained when Ocado was limiting the slots because I absolutely agree they should be for people who need them but now they have managed to scale the service and I'm placing one order for the next 10 days.
Go try and bully someone else you're obviously desperate to use this time to pick at as many people as possible.

Cissyandflora · 06/04/2020 13:58

I have been a loyal customer of theirs for around 14 years. Large family and pets so I’ve spent huge amounts with them consistently. I can’t even access the website now. And I have no idea if that will change. I haven’t heard from them. Of course there are people worse off than me but I have no car and will need to leave my children home alone and my young next door neighbour has just died so the children are very shocked and unsettled. I will go out but it’s not simple. And I would absolutely put an elderly or more vulnerable person before my need. I would just appreciate some sort of consistency from Ocado. People are having very different messages.

icelollycraving · 06/04/2020 14:00

I’ve been with Ocado for maybe 13/14 years and spend quite a lot I guess.
I have been getting a shop every week but do spend a lot £250ish as I shop for us and others which I then deliver as they are self isolating.
I got an email confirming I’d get one every 7 days a few days ago.

knittingaddict · 06/04/2020 14:00

You did go into the calendar when looking for slots, those who can only see three days? I had the same then it showed me furthe ahead on the calendar.

Nope, tried that.

AlmostThereKeepMoving · 06/04/2020 14:01

Ocado won't even let me onto the website! Will never use them again.

cultkid · 06/04/2020 14:02

So how come I have a slot once a week for the next three weeks and I've already done the shop for it?

Cissyandflora · 06/04/2020 14:14

This is so inconsistent. I spend between 100-250 a week with them for over a decade and I haven’t even heard from them now and I can’t access the website even.

fizzybootlace · 06/04/2020 14:23

@Allthecandles Actually I think you do if you can justify your delivery. Ocado are only prioritising existing customers, just look on Twitter to see that they admit themselves that they haven't integrated the lists from the government yet, still working on it. They are relying on customers to do the right thing for now, as are disabled/vulnerable people.

Kamma89 · 06/04/2020 14:27

This has been a disaster for them. I spend lots on Ocado shopping for 2 households. Over £350 a week minimum. I'm considered "loyal" & can see & book slots. I'm not booking anymore as I don't want to clog up the system for more vulnerable people.

I will never use Ocado again after this though. Their prioritisation of high spenders like me is despicable. They shouldn't be letting anyone book weekly slots, regardless of circumstances, you can make your order stretch 2 weeks, even if it means a little sacrifice here & there. People's entitlement is outstanding.

Many newer customers, or high spending non delivery pass customers will never use them again.

knittingaddict · 06/04/2020 14:41

So how come I have a slot once a week for the next three weeks and I've already done the shop for it?

Where you live?

When you booked?

Who knows why, but we aren't lying.

Axlcat · 06/04/2020 14:44

I’m so cross with them. I’m a smart pass holder and regular customer who initially was given priority access. I’m also vulnerable (but not on the shield list) and they’ve confirmed that they’ve identified me as such. They’ve now told me I can’t have anything at all despite this and previous communication from them. My friend who is not vulnerable is getting 1 slot every 7 days. So I’m now faced with having to put myself at risk of further disability by going to the shops. They won’t respond to emails or tweets where I’ve asked how they are making decisions.

AmelieTaylor · 06/04/2020 14:47

I’d love to know how they determine if you are a ‘very loyal’, ‘loyal’, or apparently don’t give a stuff about you customer

Well, I’m clearly on their ‘DGAF list’, I’ve not even had an email keep getting thrown back to their ‘try to log in & if you end up back here you’re not on the priority access list yet’

I changed to a mid week pass a couple of months ago as I had an anytime pass I could never use on the ‘prime’ days as there was never a slot - so now I’m shut on their shoe

They’re not prioritising shielded/vulnerable people (that is support), they’re orioriting Hugh spenders -that’s a business decision they’re entitled to make, if course, but I and many others are entitled to cancel out passes & never use them again. Let’s see how great a decision it turns out to be!!

I’m happy to stick with Tesco for deliveries after this & shop at my local Waitrose for other bits 🤷🏻‍♀️

knittingaddict · 06/04/2020 14:49

That's strange Axlcat, and unfair.

Do you and your friend live in the same area? The only reason I can see for the vastly different experiences of Ocado customers are due to regional issues. Maybe some live in a high demand area with not enough slots to go around and others have an excess of slots. It's the only thing I can think of at the moment. We live in Bath and NE Somerset and it's been very hard to get a slot.
