Will the vaccine be mandatory?

When and if there’s a vaccine, will we all be instructed to have it?
I don’t get the flu jab and never have.

I think the Coronavirus bill gives the power to make it mandatory.

Any vaccine released in the immediate future will be not have been properly tested, will it? Do you think that vaccines are some sort of magic spell that can only protect people?

Would you accept a mandatory chicken pox vaccine for your kids?

Totally happy for you to refuse the vaccine as long as you cease using the NHS, state schooling, taking a state pension visiting National parks free community spaces or any of the other benefits of our society.

Yes I would WakeAndBake. I've paid for additional vaccines for my DC. Because if I can stop them getting dangerous, life-changing illnesses I will.

Vaccination and immunisation: Scotland
(1)
Section 40 of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978 (vaccination and immunisation) has effect as if—
(a)
for subsection (1) there were substituted—
“(1)
The Scottish Ministers may make arrangements for the vaccination or immunisation of persons against any disease.”, and
(b)
in subsection (3), for “medical practitioners” there were substituted “persons”.
(2)
Article 4 of the Functions of Health Boards (Scotland) Order 1991 (S.I. 1991/570 (S. 55)) has effect as if for paragraph (g) there were substituted—
“(g)
the power of the Scottish Ministers under section 40 to make arrangements for the vaccination or immunisation of persons against any disease and to supply vaccines, sera or other preparations for such vaccination or immunisation;”.

Is there any limit to the amount of vaccines people are happy to take/be ordered to have? Would you have dozens? Scores? Hundreds?

I wouldn’t have thought so - measles and TB are more dangerous illnesses and much more contagious and those vaccinations are not mandatory.

All vaccines for serious illness should be mandatory. It is a scandal that they aren’t.

Because people like you frighten people in to not getting vaccinated there is a rise in the number of fatal measles cases and a rise in young men being made infertile by mumps. Things we had almost totally eradicated 20 years ago.

So we’ll done in being a net contributor in making the world more dangerous for us all.

Go spread your vaccine misinformation elsewhere.

Which is your preferred option, then, OP? Herd immunity (though catching the disease, obviously, as vaccination is so undesirable), or lockdown for the rest of our lives?

I hope not! God knows what could be in that untested new vaccine and what side effects would be. especially on young children and young peeople. Old and ill can get vaccinated.

This will be an extremely unpopular opinion, however my DH and I are in high risk frontline jobs to catch CV currently. I am not sure I would want to have a rushed through vaccine and I can't be accused of hiding away and relying on herd immunity since believe me I am the herd! As a minimum I'd want an antibody test first before having such a vaccine, as it's likely I have already 'taken one for the team' and caught CV already.
