@Tangledyarn you can do this. Exactly as Ive said to taffy. Once moment at a time. You’ve had five weeks though....

Can you breathe? Do you know your sats and are you on antibiotics? I seem to think your on doxycline? Xx

@TheDrsWife46 thank you so much for sharing that video, it definitely gives hope. Its crazy, I just can't imagine going 24 hours without feeling like absolute crap. I see he mentioned his wife having sinus pains in his video - that's exactly what I'm getting. It can be quite debilitating as paracetamol doesn't touch it. I'm so glad you seem to have turned a corner. I hope you'll still update us on this thread. You're a saviour to many and have got me through some dark times x

TheDrsWife46 · 08/04/2020 22:38

@isitorisntit you are not alone xx

@Taffyapple8 i dipped terribly last night and had a GP call today so i suspect im here for a while still Flowers

@Tangledyarn if it is doxycycline your on...maybe call the GP and see if you can switch to amoxycillin. Last year i had a tick bite and had to have doxcycline to ward off lyme disease and the tablets themselves made me feel terrible. Check the side effects. When i switched to amoxycillin i was brilliant. (If your not on those Ignore me)

But i cant recall when you spoke to the doctor but i’d be calling for antibiotics if you havent got them or even a mild sedative or management plan to take you through the distress of it. When i was at my worst my doctor was going to allow me a tiny dose of diazepam once my breathing wasnt shallow. I didnt take it. But if your 5weeks in and this is pain/fatigue/dizziness more than breathing perhaps your gp can manage the anxiety/relaxant element x

@ChippedPotatoesLloyd are you doing the Covid symptom app? I'm sure your experiences would be really useful as you are further on than most.

@TheDrsWife46 funny thing was that information re Boris was presented in a doom and gloom way by another source as a total disaster. Prime Minister out of action for months! Definitely lemonade from lemons here. X

JackJackIncredible · 08/04/2020 23:08

Doxy is a very good antibiotic for chest infections
Antibiotics can make you feel unwell and miserable. This is partly why GPs stopped prescribing them willy nilly- you can actually feel worse than the infection itself! That said, sometimes they are absolutely needed and we have to power through. Flowers

Tangledyarn · 08/04/2020 23:09

Thanks everyoneFlowers
Am on amoxicillin, have a day and a half left. I dont think I have a secondary infection particularly though as breathing is generally improving and am not coughing much although I am still having episodes of breathlessness and chest pain and burning.
I've not actually seen anyone physically had phone appts and a video appts. Sats are ok generally now..pulse slightly higher O2 slightly lower than normal but nothing to worry about. Weirdly when I was feeling really terrible an hour ago though my pulse was only 50 despite me being breathless and resp rate being high so dont know what to make of that. I am eating but it's not been brilliant as have no apetite for all this time..so am wondering whether my blood sugar might not low when I'm having these episodes. Also have underlying conditions asthma, CFS, hashimoto's and a complex chronic migraine condition that I'm on a lot of medication for so totally expected it would take me ages to recover it's more these episodes where I'm just feeling like im about to collapse that go on for a few hours I cant cope with. I've done almost literally nothing all day so I cant blame it on that. Sorry for whinging. It's just a very long time..partner is sick to death of it and am stressing him out but also really worried as he says a look awful which I probably do. X

isitorisntit · 08/04/2020 23:19

@User I'm day 26. I had a migraine day 23. It was hell and I started to feel the random limb/joint pains again. Next morning, I only needed one paracetamol and it was gone again.

isitorisntit · 08/04/2020 23:20

And my face was burning up.

EMichel102 · 08/04/2020 23:40

Is anyone still awake for a hand hold? I’m getting my intense pulsating heartbeat tonight and random muscle twitches. Can anyone relate? I really hope so or else I feel like something may be seriously wrong with me! Struggling to sleep as a result

Zantedeschia · 08/04/2020 23:44

Hi @Emichel102, are you lying on your back? I found doing that/reclining for too long worsened symptoms. Have you seen the breathing exercises? Have you a temperature?

EMichel102 · 08/04/2020 23:47

No temperature, yes I’ll try the breathing exercises thanks but not so breathless. I just feel like my body’s having a central nervous system hyper reaction to this virus and has gone into overdrive.

Taffyapple8 · 08/04/2020 23:49

Burning up, diarrhoea and nausea. This can't be right. My fear is that I have something wrong that needs treating but won't be picked up as I can't see a doctor

Zantedeschia · 08/04/2020 23:56

I had those symptoms too @taffyapple8

Taffyapple8 · 08/04/2020 23:57

@EMichel102 I'm having the trembling and shaking. What day are you on?

Taffyapple8 · 08/04/2020 23:58

I just thought by day 10 that these symptoms would have subsided x

Tangledyarn · 08/04/2020 23:58

@EMichel102 Every night same symptoms..like my nervous system is going insane trying to tackle the virus. It's a horrible feeling.

@taffyapple8 Horrible. It all sounds like it could totally be the horrible covid19 lots of gastro symptoms reported. Really hard to cope with. Can you take some paracetamol and maybe a drink if you can manage it? My diaoreah has passed but am feeling very sick. I hope you can get some rest x

Calyx72 · 08/04/2020 23:59

Hi all
Felt dreadful yesterday and today including my urine getting dark and stinging, I think the constant over 38 temp for over 9 or 10 days has dehydrated me
Also sats were down to 95 at rest and the breathing exercise too sore to manage, didn't lift the level of oxygen either
But since about 6pm the chest improved a bit and my temp reduced a bit (37.8 which I call good now) it's back to 38.1 this evening
Worst thing is the diarrhoea omg
Taste is improving (things don't taste right but they do taste which is a plus)
Hope you feel better and have a good sleep everyone
I haven't got my test result yet hopefully tomorrow

EMichel102 · 09/04/2020 00:00

@Taffyapple8 day 23 today for me sadly.

@Tangledyarn they went slightly away the past 3 nights but tonight back with vengeance. Do you get the muscle spasm / twitches too when you’re trying to fall asleep?

Calyx72 · 09/04/2020 00:01

I started that earlier and finished it just now so missed everyone sorry
Hope you're okay Taffyapple and Emichel

EMichel102 · 09/04/2020 00:08

@Tangledyarn do you also get tremors? My body is trembling tonight and I can’t seem to stop it :(

EMichel102 · 09/04/2020 00:13

@Calyx72 yes the diarrhoea is awful indeed. Hope you manage to get some rest tonight. I’m lying here trying to figure out how I’ll ever sleep between tremors, body twitches and this damn pulsating heart.

Taffyapple8 · 09/04/2020 00:19

@Calyx72 what day are you on? @EMichel102 I keep drifting off and then my body startles and I'm awake again. This is hell on earth

Calyx72 · 09/04/2020 00:34

Hi Taffy I am day 10 if you count from high temperature or day 12 if you count headaches

Oh Emichel the tremors and twitches sound awful Sad hope you manage to sleep

My tip for today is regular paracetamol and constant water or tea or fluids
Have done that since 1pm today (probably going right through me but otherwise would probably be dangerously dehydrated)
My hands feel and look dry as anything despite pints of water but my urine is better

I am reading and will try to sleep soon
Virtual hugs all
