Just wondering how bad the virus is where you live.

I am in the PR7 preston area and I know of 13 deaths in the hospital near me.

Apparently 272 cases in our area, no idea how many deaths. 272 sounds very low though considering the size of the area (South Manchester).

There are 547 confirmed cases in Northamptonshire, out of a local population of 747,622.

So that's 1 in every 1366 people. Confirmed case.

28 deaths to date, i think, in Northampton General.

Holly I felt like that when they stopped reporting the deaths here, fair enough we aren't in Gwent, like Eve is.. but we are next to morriston hospital where all the confirmed cases on Swansea began. So sad for all on here.

30+ deaths in our local hospital and we are in the top 5 worst places for cases per 100,000 outside of London. Not remotely surprised as the majority of people round here seem to be treating it like a holiday.

Quite a few people commenting on local paper headlines about Coronavirus cases saying It's not as bad as they're being told or it's all a conspiracy 🙄

Thanks @fear. It's surprising as it was one of the first to rocket. Not sure why. We're quite a close family city and obviously quite densely populated. Think confirmed cases is at 175 with 85 deaths. My husband knows three people who have died and is still going to work every day (there's a lot of defence here). In the war Portsmouth was heavily heavily bombed and the casualties were horrific. However some of the sites were still in ruins as late as the 90s. We get forgotten a lot I think.

We were like that though Rainbow, first confirmed case in Wales, then a spurt then the media started being vague, now they seem to think we are due a spread arcross from South East Wales to South West. I just dont know who or what to believe anymore but the numbers are upsetting...Confused

47 cases where I live. 8 people have died "with" (though not necessarily of) Covid. Population circa 22k. I can't begin to describe how much I hate this lockdown.

This site -

www.covidlive.co.uk/

Is a brilliant resource, shows cases, fatalities per area, shaded to show cases per capita, ie cases per 1000 of population.
The drag slider is useful to see the cases over time.
The data is scraped from all the official sites and correlated much better than Gov efforts
It is updated shortly after the daily Gov announcement and again after the Phe cases per area announcement.
Please keep away from Cumbria and the Lakes.

South West: not far from Swindon.
I'm not aware of any cases in our town of about 12,000. The south west has one of the lowest rates of infection though.

Not at all bad . Two large towns covering an area approx 20 miles long and 10-12 miles wide, with smaller town and villages. , approximately 350,000 people and 40 deaths
When I Trawled Through our obituary pages I was hard pressed to find anyone under 70, most people being 80 and 90,, one person was a 100.

From Berwick In the north to Northallerton in the south and then over towards Darlington, Barnard Castle..that’s a big area with just 550 deaths of well over a million people

Again an area of coastline of over 100 miles long

In Lancashire its now just over 2000 confirmed cases with 374 deaths. My local hospital is a teaching hospital and its linked with another hospital it says they have had 54 deaths between them.

But we have had a 93 year old man who's recovered and is back home hopefully more to come.

Nothing at all in my immediate area. There are and have been cases in the borough and more in the neighbouring borough (I am on the border), just not near where I live. At the moment. That's known cases, of course some people could have had the virus, not realised what it was and recovered.

South west here just outside Bristol. Not doing too badly looking at the figures compared to the rest of the U.K., which is the case for the SW in general, but obviously figures should be taken with a pinch of salt

I'm in Hampshire, which has been quite badly affected. Part of Southampton Airport is now being converted into an overflow mortuary.

I have two friends from my village who are currently being treated in icu. Sad
